I liked the authentic feel of this property. But the pool is run down. The staff does not remove the cushions before rain. The outdoor wall sconces are in disrepair. They only serve coffee in the morning.

Quaint hotel in the French Quarter

Loved this hotel! The staff was friendly and answered our questions. It has great charm and an old world feel. Started everyday with tea on the balcony. It’s a very easy walk to Jackson square and Bourbon st. There is a great cafe around the corner for breakfast.

Birthday celebration for a group. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean. The bar is closed, but you’re allowed to bring your own drinks. Great pool.

This Hotel was very clean and quiet. It is within walking distance from all the fun of the french quarter. We would have liked to have a bar and or food service of some kind. There was not even a continental breakfast. Just a pot of regular coffee and hot water. There was no bottled water only tap. We never recieved anymore than one small bottle of shampoo and a small bar of soap the five days we were there. Probably will choose a different hotel next time

Our stay at Le Richelieu was excellent! The only (very slight!) issue was our room was on the first floor on the street level so we couldn’t really open our window shade, but that being said it was very quiet still and we couldn’t hear street noise at all really. The concierges were very helpful and let us drop off our luggage early and keep it a bit after check out due to our weird flight times, letting us have the best experience in New Orleans possible! Housekeeping was also excellent. Would highly recommend for a great location and experience in the French Quarter.

Don’t miss out on a stay at this hotel!

Great hotel, great location - right in the heart of the French Quarter. Everything was in a short walking distance. The balcony added to the New Orleans experience! Staff was exceptional. Highly recommended for all guests - single, couple or family!

The hotel is attractive and conveniently located. But the staff needs work. Our room flooded when a toilet in the room above ours overflowed. The staff then was slow to respond and the hotel has apparently reneged on a promise to provide a partial refund to pay for some damaged possessions. Other issues: no shampoo or other toiletries in the room until the second day; no bottled water in the room as advertised; morning coffee pot near lobby wasn't promptly refilled; the pool on the one day we had good weather looked very nice, but some of the already-limited seating had "reserved" signs.
