I recently stayed at The Element in New York with two friends and had an incredible experience. The room was spacious enough for all three of us to move around comfortably without feeling cramped. We loved the coat closet space—perfect for storing all our stuff—and the bathroom was really nice. The staff and security were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Anytime we had a question or needed something, they were quick to assist with a smile. It made us feel very welcome. The location was one of the best parts. Everything was walkable, and when we needed to go further, most places we wanted to visit were only 10-15 minutes by subway, 25 minutes max. Super convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus, and we enjoyed it every morning before heading out. Overall, everything about this hotel was great. I'd definitely recommend The Element to anyone visiting New York, especially if you're traveling with a small group!

Great Location. Convenient walking distance to Times Square, Penn Station and other attractions. Spacious room for NYC, great breakfast and M-T Happy Hour. Our shower head broke, and it was fixed expeditiously. One area of improvement: Public bathrooms were out of order. After our checkout, we had to wait for use of private room that was held for this purpose. Long wait!

The Element at San Jose and San Clara have me spoiled. The Element NYC Room aesthetic was lacking. Wall paper peeling, mild in the bathroom, shower faucet fell off. Daytime staff was not customer centric. Room service was supposed to be every other day but was not consistent and only consisted of clean towels and taking out trash. Telephones were not working, kitchen staff was rude when replenishing supplies during breakfast. Breakfast patio was cold , I can only imagine the heat during summer.
