Housekeeping staff was very nice. I loved the north facing room, great view of tree lights in Dante Park and Lincoln Center. Elevators are fast, front desk staff is nice. Only downside was the occasional noises made by the heater and the 2 nights when, for a few hours, there was no heat and the temp in the room got down to 65F.

They will charge you $20 extra per night as a “residence fee.” So factor that into your total cost. Which is really annoying because the gym in the basement is mediocre at best. So what else was I paying for? I didn’t use the pool. I didn’t use the gym. So what gives? Not cool to spring that cost on someone after they’ve already booked on Expedia.

My stay at this hotel was okay overall, but it did not meet my expectations for the price. At check-in, one front desk staff member was rude, which made the arrival uncomfortable. However, the staff member who actually checked me in later was very kind and professional, which I appreciated. We chose the 9th floor instead of the 7th specifically for the view. Unfortunately, once we entered the room, I was shocked by how small it was. The room felt very cramped for two double beds, and the bathroom was also extremely small. It did not feel worth what I paid. There were no trash bags in the room or bathroom upon arrival. When I called housekeeping, they brought very large black trash bags, which didn’t feel appropriate for a hotel room. On the second day, housekeeping cleaned the room well, but the bathroom trash bag was not replaced. On the third day, I asked again for the room to be tidied and trash bags replaced, and I tipped $10. When we returned, the beds were made, but there were still no trash bags in either bin. I had to call again, and what was brought seemed more like laundry bags. Additionally, on the first night, there were visible stains on the pillow and blanket, which made me uncomfortable. I requested new bedding for one bed and received it, but this should not have been an issue. The hotel was responsive when contacted, but for over $150, the experience did not match my expectations. I wish I had researched this hotel more before booking.

Do not stay here. The staff is snooty, the property is dirty and poorly maintained. The rooms and bathrooms have virtually zero ventilation and all paint, baseboards, and wallpaper are peeling. The property is nearly impossible to contact even when actively staying there. I received a charge when I caused zero damage to the room and have attempted to contact the property via phone and email for the last week to no avail. I did not even receive my receipt upon checkout, which I was told I would receive via email. Upon checkout, the luggage storage attendants were horribly rude and making fun of us right in front of our faces for having to add one more bag to the count. Horrible experience, will never return.

Great staff—I cannot say enough about their friendliness, efficiency and willingness to accomodate the times I have needed to stay her. There is a clean well-designed room and a beautiful and affordable restaurant with a rooftop view of the city. There is a DJ and dancing too. They serve brunch and are open until midnight with cocktails. The main entrance has lovely furnishings and you can work there. It is a central UWS location for the arts whether work or leisure. The hotel always boasts deals that are approx $110/night This deal is not all the time—you have to look— and it can be pricey other times like all the NYC hotels, but this place can be a GREAT safe deal. Coffee, restaurants and subway is nearby. Parking available but is pricey ($90 oversized vehicle). Cans stop right in front. Incredible Gelato and French macaroons next door and even Starbucks and a nearby CVS for the basic or familiar needs. Perfect if you are going to Lincoln Center.
