1. Staff gave my room to a different guest even though I already booked and paid for it in advance. Their reason is that I arrived one day late. My argument is that, even though I arrived late, they shouldn’t gave my room because it is paid. I didn’t even cancel it, and they didn’t even call to ask. 2. Room is dirty. A lot of dust around the fridge area and the safe. Floor is worn out and you can see the dirt. 3. Doorman scammed and misinformed me. I was browsing outside for a taxi but couldn’t find one. So I was about to use the lyft when he offer if I would want a taxi. I said yes, and he said he is going to call one. I thought that he is going to call from outside but he instead texted a person. He said that sometimes taxi is cheaper than lyft. To my surprise, I thought the taxi is going to use the meter, but instead the driver said that it was a fixed rate. He told me that the doorman should have informed me. Lyft charges $71 to go to JFK while the fixed rate cost me 95 plus fees to a total of 100. Don’t trust the doorman. This hotel just looks good in the lobby but the room is dirty.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and professional. The location across the street from Lincoln Center Plaza was perfect for the January Operas at the MET. Unlimited free bottled water was a nice extra, and wifi was fast and reliable. There were no problems during our stay, but it does seem that security is rather lax with easy lobby access from the adjacent Mexican restaurant, no room access restrictions in the elevator.

The room was nice but tired. Cracking paint and a very old PTAC unit was noisy. The shower control did not isolate the handheld shower from the ceiling shower head, so the handheld sprayed water all the time. Big waste of water. I believe the mechanical ventilation system for the bathroom is not working as moisture from the shower in the bathroom stays for a long time. The front desk staff were super nice and provided water at any time asked for. We would stay again.

The room heat was broken. It was unbearably hot. We could not sleep. We asked for it to be fixed 3x to no avail. We cracked the window and then there was ridiculous noise of a fan (sounded like a jet) from the alley below. The lobby is nice -but if you want to sleep comfortably, choose a different hotel.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable, AC would not go below 74 degrees. We stayed on the 11th floor and you could hear what sounded like furniture being dragged across the floor above us as early as 6am. WTH, was someone cleaning the roof? Rust in the bathroom door frame on the bottom left. Will not be staying here again. Also, the shower valve doesn't make sense. Difficult to find the correct position for hot water.

Very nice hotel just across from the Lincoln Center. Modern decor in rooms. If you’re tall ( we are not), you will really appreciate the shower and bathroom in general. One problem: the key cards didn’t work very well. You must try, and try again.
