Amazing property overall. I would definitely stay there again. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food was amazing everywhere we went, excursions were worth it.. it was a great experience.
Some minor cons:
- the hallway to our room smelled really bad.
- there is a motion sensor light in the bathroom of our room. It would turn off after about 10 seconds of being “still” (sometimes it wouldn’t register a movement). And then it would turn back on after it sensed movement again. It was very annoying, especially at night, to have it constantly turning on and off whenever you do anything in the bathroom. Plus it made a ticking sound every time it turned on or off.
- the check in process took a very long time. The staff was still friendly and the free champagne helped, but it still took too long.
- the spa was closed (due to renovations). Not a huge deal, but our online reservation did not register when we tried to book something for it. We had to talk with a representative and then go to the sister hotel to ensure our appointment was booked.
- towels smelled kind of old and musty.
