Staff can improve hospitality instead of just saying no to everything or just act to be supportive while have no real intent of helping customers! I request a room upgrade and which was denied and I saw guest next to my room who got room upgrade!! The resort is beautiful but staff is not so humble and supportive

The three-star rating is entirely due to a significant and ongoing issue with housekeeping. The problem was serious, persisted longer than it should have, and materially impacted the stay. What prevented this from being a worse experience was the front desk team. Lauren’s leadership was steady and decisive once she became involved, and the response from her team was thoughtful and effective. Tristin in particular went well beyond the desk. He personally escorted me to a new room, inspected it with me to make sure the issue was fully resolved, and followed up again to ensure we were settled. He was supported throughout by Sebastian, and together they took real ownership of the situation. The contrast between departments was clear. Housekeeping dropped the ball. The front desk, led by Lauren, did everything possible to recover the experience and deserves genuine credit for it.

Was expecting a luxury resort, but this was just a run of the mill hotel. Amenities were just ok, lighting in room was very dim. Pools were great, but we only found one hot tub, and there were unattended children everywhere, including the hot tub. Worst of all was the parking situation - it’s not included with the hotel stay, and there aren’t in and out privileges, so there were days when we paid three times for parking - and there’s nowhere else to park. A grab and go breakfast for two (from the on-site cafe) was as much as a sit-down. Prices were outrageous for a mediocre product.

The room was nice and there was lots to do for the kids. However, we found the prices on everything to be a bit too inflated. They are charging luxury hotel prices. Our service at Carmacho was horrible - waited over an hour for food.
