Best vacation!

This was our first visit to Panama. The condo was exactly as described in the listing. We went directly to our room with great communication from real joy. The condo was beautiful & the view is breathtaking! The onsite amenities are wonderful and we enjoyed them so much! We will be returning yearly to enjoh thid codo and wonderful Panama City Beach

Nice condo overall

The condo is what we expected, but it was a loooong way from the parking garage to the condo IF we could get a spot. Most of the time we had to park in the backup garage that was a ridiculously long way, down a dark alley. Definitely would have chosen somewhere else if we'd known this. Pool was lame, no view of the ocean, but of the parking garage we couldnt park in. There are not two pools, there is only one pool area that doesnt allow outside drinks. No crosswalk unless you go up and down the elevators and escalators. Overall not a good value for the money. Wont stay here again.

We enjoyed our last vacation of a family of 4 next time we will have a baby with us. This is our favorite place to stay. Walking distance to everything. We literally relaxed all week on the beach. Everything was perfect and comfortable

Property was fantastic. Very athletically decorated. Amenities were terrific. I would think the owners and management could/would do more, however, to enforce the no smoking policy. No smoking signs everywhere, but couldn't even enjoy coffee in the morning on the balcony because of the idiots smoking weed. I know its because all the filth and trash from ATL think they're big spenders and are going somewhere to go to PCB, but there's going to have to be stricter enforcement of the no smoking policy for it to be enjoyable.

Fine but not great

There was nothing terrible about the unit but a lot of little not great things that add up. It was middle-range price and that’s sort of what you get. Doing over, I’d pay more and stay in a nicer unit. Pros: great view! Loved the sliding balcony doors. Easy check-in. Starbucks on-site. Cons: washer was terrible. There were so many warnings posted around the washer I was afraid to wash anything. Couldn’t just throw in a load of towels and go to dinner. Warnings said not to leave unit with washer running which really sucked. Ceiling tiles in hallway bath were wet all the time which made me concerned about mold. When in that shower, you were looking at wet tiles 8 inches overhead. Kitchen had the barest of bare cooking ware. Balcony furniture was soooo uncomfortable and had some slats on chairs broken. Unit is by elevator and master is at back of unit so all day and night you could hear people waiting for elevator. Again, beyond the washer situation nothing terrible but just not great.

It was okay. Needs work.

We had a great time during bike week. There were some issues that need to be resolved one of which could have ended very badly. The 1 major concern was the legs on the master bed need to be fixed. Underneath the bed the support legs were bent. Bed was unstable and we didn't sleep in it the last night we had to sleep on the sofa. The second reason we slept on the sofa is the toilet ran all day and night in the master bedroom. It was so loud that it woke you from your sleep several times throughout the night. You could hear it in the livingroom area as well. We just opened the door to the balcony and let the sound of the waves try to drown out the noise. The master tub also did not drain. Water pooled in the tub even though the drain was open. The place needs some work but it was very well decorated if that matters at all. If none of this is a problem to anyone else then they will have a great stay I guess. I like the building just feel like for the price I paid I should have been able to sleep comfortably in peace. Ugh!

Great property! As described!

Everything is very convenient. Location, in/out, several things within walking distance. If you want one of the chairs/umbrellas on the front row, you need to go down as soon as you get there or you’ll end up on the back row. We didn’t go down until the 2nd day and they were already spoken for. There is a hut in the middle of the chairs down on the beach where they will assign them to you. First come, first serve. You will keep the same number throughout your stay. Also, park on the 3rd level in the parking garage. This is the level with the Sky Bridge that you have to walk across. It makes things much easier and less walking.

Best Beach Vacation EVER!!

We had the best family vacation and enjoyed everything about this condo and resort. It was perfect for our family of four. It had everything we needed and was very spacious. The beds, the couch, the linens were all very comfortable. I loved that we had two bathrooms with the a shower and bathtub available. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Everything was extremely clean, organized and beautifully decorated. You can tell the owners take great care and love this unit. I loved that the beach chair service was included in the rental. I did not know that, however until the second day, so we did pay for two days but it was worth it. You just have to let the chair company know that it's included and give them your information. My family really enjoyed all of the pools and kid friendly games, the arcade etc. The only thing I would change, would be to add an upper lock to the balcony sliding glass door out of a child's reach.( My husband and I enjoyed the balcony, but it made me nervous and we did not not let the kids go out there with a high top table and chairs so close to the railing. No complaints, just a safety suggestion) The ocean view was absolutely breathtaking! We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful room

The room was beautiful. The ice maker wasn't working but we called and maintenance came and repaired it very quickly and brought us 2 bags of ice to make up for it. The only complaint I have is the elevators were very, very slow

Summer Vacation

4 night stay

Upon a 4:00pm check-in the tv had no signal, refrigerator had no ice or water working. Called to complain and maintenance couldn’t come until following day. Wasn’t there to sit around for a maintenance call. We refused such call. Husband walked across the street for a bag of ice and bottled water. Husband had to reset tv from behind tv. We were given all the things to do and not do in the condo except info how to get from garage across the street to an outside elevator to get to room. Such a disappointment for the amount of money spent for 4 nights.

Air conditioning is locked

We have stayed at Emerald Beach Resort before and had a wonderful experience. We wanted to stay there again due the amenities and location. The condo itself was ok. The lighting was not the greatest. There were only lamps (no overhead lights) with dim bulbs. But the main complaint we had that will keep us from renting this unit again is that the owner has the AC temp locked to 70. Our condo stayed so hot all week and never seemed to cool down. We did reach out and a AC repair man came out to check it out. He told us something was "wrong with the unit on the roof and should cool down" but it never did. We ended up having to go to Lowe's and buy several fans so that we could sleep at night. We had to keep the main balcony curtains closed the whole week to help keep it somewhat cooler. We were not able to enjoy the view or have good lighting either. The condo did have 2 ceiling fans but they did not really make a difference. The owners had the AC locked at 70 and you could not turn it down any lower to cool the condo. We will not rent this unit again. Also no one ever reached back out to see if the temp was cooling anymore after the repair man left. We paid alot of money to stay here and expected an air conditioned condo.

View is amazing! Trouble with air conditioning. Washing machine kept throwing an error code and with warning email about washing machine has a habit of overflowing and if happened it would be our fault and we would have to pay for damages using the washing machine was very stressful suggest maintenance washing machine or perhaps replacing it. First time staying at Emerald Beach Resort with no instructions how to get from parking deck to our condo with having to use three different elevators to go up and down floors with luggage was very confusing.

Nice place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at Emerald Beach. The condo was clean and decorated very nicely and has been well taken care. The Realjoy staff was friendly and helpful the whole, even though we had no issues. The resort was also nice and had friendly staff as well. Would love to stay there again.

Disfunction nightmare!!

The disfunction between the property owner, property management, and the hotel itself was a nightmare. Absolutely 0 communication on directions for the check in process. My family and I stayed at Emerald Resort 4 years ago and enjoyed the stay and this time around it was completely different for the check in process. My family and I arrived early to hopefully get in a full beach day/pool day. I’m well aware of the 4 o’clock check in and completely understand you have to allow time for the crews to clean the room. However, last time we stayed, they gave us full access to the pool and a parking pass while we waited. NOT THIS TIME! I was informed by the front desk by a very rude woman that they didn’t deal with people who booked by an outside property management which was real joy vacations. When I contacted Real Joy, they tried to get in touch with the property owner to give us our arm bands and passes. They informed me the armbands and parking pass was in the room and the owner was too busy to give us the bands and parking pass and that I had to wait until the room was ready before we had access to the garage and pool. So needless to say my family had to drive around Panama City looking for stuff to do for close to 8 hours. What made this such a bad experience was that there was 0 communication from the owner or property management describing the check in process. Also, I had to call the property management several times for updates and finally had to call again AFTER 4 and they finally gave me the access email for the door code and check in instructions. Needless to say that I’ll never stay at emerald resort again. Terrible check in process and convoluted mess.
