Terrible 1 or 2 star hotel

On the plus side it is very close to the Gare du Nord but that is where the positives end. The hotel is in a terrible state of repair. The painting is peeling off, the carpet completely unhoovered (like a building site), the view for the window was a brick wall. The bathroom doesn't have a bath and is the size of a cupboard. The breakfast included raw eggs that you had to cook yourself. Don't confuse it with the Avalon Cosy Hotel which seems to be a completely different (nice) hotel.

This is a nice hotel if you don’t need to spend a lot of time in your room. We were out all day and only needed a place to sleep. Close to Gare du Nord and lots of good eating choices

Hotel was decent enough, though the public areas were quite shabby. It was an ok place for sightseeing though, if you're out all day. Not a hotel to spend time in, there wasn't a bar or lounge area. I was in the ground floor/disabled room and it was nice enough, but it wasn't particularly cosy. The windows were right on the street outside, and I found privacy to be an issue - there were curtains of course, but they didn't quite cover at the edges of the window - I used a chair to hold the curtain next to the wall, to cover the gaps. I also found it to be very noisy - lots of banging late at night from the lift area, bathroom noises and running water noises from rooms above, furniture scraping noises from overhead late at night and early morning. From an accessible point of view though, it seems like it would be a good room if limited mobility is an issue (wasn't for me, so I can only comment on my perception) - wet room shower and plenty of space in the bathroom, good amount of space around the bed etc. Access from the reception to this room wouldn't be easy for a wheelchair user however.

We had a fantastic stay at Avalon Paris! The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Gare du Nord, making it easy to explore the city. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any questions. We especially appreciated the charming atmosphere and great value for money. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris!

The hotel was very close to the train station, so it was a convenient location for public transportation. Room was comfortable. The people at the hotel were helpful and nice. They also spoke English ;)

The room was nice and clean but the lobby and the elevator were terrible. The common areas were dirty with paint falling off walls and the elevator door was dirty with scratches everywhere and only 2 people at a time, which was very inconvenient. Breakfast was average with an average dining area and 0 staff. A plus is that is walking distance to Garde du nord.

My mom and I stayed at this hotel in March. The room was small but comfy. We had a small balcony which was very cute. The TV worked and had an English Channel but the telephone never worked. The staff always cleaned our room and gave us fresh towels every day. The receptionists were helpful and friendly too. They helped my mom keeping her cold pads in the fridge (because our room didn’t have a refrigerator). The surrounding area was great. It was easy walking around and using public transportation. There were many restaurants too, with amazing food. I was even able to run in the Main Street because it was safe and convenient. My only complaint is the gym in the hotel. I chose this place because of the gym, since working out is part of my routine. I wasn’t able to use it because it was dirty and in the basement. The equipment was minimal too. I would invest money making it more practical for people like me. Overall, it was a good stay. Great breakfast too.
