I arrived to no hot water; desk person explained the building turned off the water briefly—no problem. He directed me to expedite its return by turning on both the tub and sink taps. I did this and took a call, returning 5-6 min later to find the bathroom floor covered in a 1/2 inch of water. The swallow sink overflows *very* quickly. I cleaned up immediately and called the front desk and housekeeping several times, neither answering, to replace towels. At one point, I forgot my room key. The evening desk person took a L-O-N-G time processing one check-in. Then, one of the valets jumped in front of me to ask about a guest who left a $20 cash tip. He wasn't clear if it was intentional. His honestly was admirable, but the two went back and forth for a solid 7-8 minutes with me and two other guests waiting on help. Housekeeping knocks about 9:45-10AM to get into the rooms, unless you put out the sign. After my first night, I was going to have meetings much of afternoon from my room, I told them I could only give a short window before this started. They turned service very quickly and was well done, when I returned like 20 minutes later. Bravo. The room condition was generally clean but shabby. Linens are basic quality; one sheet had makeup stains on the end. They use disposable trays in the coffeemaker to hold the filters (not an "espresso maker" as billed in room grade). The tray was removed after my first night, so I couldn't brew the second morning.

The hotel appears to be under poor management despite its appearance. Check-In time was slated for 4:00, but rooms were not made available for me until 6:00, and some other guests much later. Additionally, there were no towels available to customers on arrival. I was unable to secure mine until 9:00 that evening. Customers were understandably upset, yet no management came to offer apologies or some sort of benefit. The front desk team was left to be berated by upset guests with no support. Furthermore, hotels.com did not show the proper photos for the rooms. I assumed I was getting a suite based off the photos and only got a larger King size single room.

This is a vintage building that has been updated. The Rittenhouse Square neighborhood is wonderful, and the hotel staff was terrific. The room was comfortable and quiet. We did have some problems. The room toilet did not flush reliably and the hotel had no wash cloths. The room and halls were updated, but the desk-console was worn and nicked. Hope further improvements are made.

BAD, HORRIBLE, INEFFICIENT. F- will NEVER return

HORRIBLE from the beginning. Check-in was at 4, I check in around 4:30 and told my room is not ready and they have NO IDEA when the room is going to be ready. Fast forward 2 HOURS!!!! later and our room is finally ready. This was the same for MANY people in the lobby. No towels in the bathroom once we finally got to the room. The front desk were very dismissive about the whole situation (although they probably dealt with this all day) and we were offered a free breakfast ITEM and 1 hot beverage for our troubles. We ended up missing our dinner reservation for my wife's birthday because of this delay and she had no way of getting ready. I do not say this lightly, this was THE WORST experience I've had a hotel and to call themselves 4 stars in the heart of Philly is embarrassing. WILL NEVE RETURN AND NEVER RECOMMEND.

Unfortunately, we never got to stay at the Warwick because they didn’t have linens and said they wouldn’t get them until 7pm (check in was 4pm), but even if they did (and that wasn’t guaranteed), our room wouldn’t be ready. They just kept stringing us along to wait but in the end, they weren’t even going to provide us a room. And they didn’t do anything to help us find another place to stay. And no manager was there to help direct the staff on what to do or how to help. In the end, we had not choice but to try to find a room on a busy Saturday night. Other guests were in the same predicament yet had traveled even farther and longer. We will never stay here again after that experience and we come regularly to Philly.

I've stayed at the Warwick many time over the years and I have to say that I was disappointed this time. The bathroom in my room was very dark and it appeared that a light in the mirror/over the sink wasn't working I told the front desk about it twice on two consecutive days and it never changed. Now it's possible that there is no additional lighting in the bathroom, but I can't imagine having to shave or apply makeup in that dark corner. Additionally, the vent in the room was filthy - having those vents in my place, I'm aware that they need to be cleaned periodically. And finally, the chest of drawers was practically falling apart. While the lobby/common areas were lovely, it would appear that the guest rooms need a re-fresh, and it's possible that some staff re-training would be helpful...as I was checking in, a woman came back down to the front desk to say the room she'd just checked into hadn't been cleaned. I love the Warwick and it was honestly a bit sad to see its current condition.

Great Staff!!

I CAN NOT say enough nice things about the entire staff at The Warwick. Everyone was so kind even in the restaurants even with how busy they were with the Eagles parade annnd Valentine’s Day. The room could use some small upgrades. Like the room didn’t have a bag for the ice bucket or the cups weren’t wrapped like how would we know they weren’t used or there before? The check in line can get kinda crazy but we got so lucky and don’t have to wait.
