The Hotel Was Shut Down

We were shocked to arrive at the Hotel (11pm) and found the whole place was shut down. Luckily we managed to get thru a phone number listed on the glass door, waited a while, for a staff to pick us up and send us to their sister’s hotel.

Staff has been downgraded!

We had stayed at Clear House twice before and it was fantastic; the rooms have been maintained well and it is still a very cozy and quiet place to stay even though you are right on the main beach road. The only difference this time is that the previous couple (Bee and her husband) that managed the guesthouse — which were super friendly, helpful, and able to communicate in English — have been replaced by staff that can barely speak any English. I asked the lady if I could get a receipt for the room and she replied, "Sunny tomorrow.." We had are two year old son with us and she was very cold towards him; and whenever I asked her for something (like an umbrella or stroller), she bluntly answered "No". We came back to Clear House because we loved the atmosphere that the previous caretakers created, which was friendly and caring. Will we be back? Unfortunately, probably not. The quality of the staff is just not on par anymore.

Due to an undisclosed problem I never got stay here.I was placed in the companies main hotel.The room I was given instead was excellent,on the opposite side of the complex above main reception.However due to a very noisy private farm across from the I did check out early.I’m guessing the room I got was maybe for managers/owners/special guests wanting more privacy. So overall,disappointed I lost my first choice but can’t complain with the replacement and me being a light sleeper.

Nice hotel close to beach, shops & restaurants

Room was cleaned everyday. Free water & reasonably priced minibar. Tea & Coffee making facility topped up everyday. Staff were very helpful in respect to late check in & arranging early taxi to airport.

Loved staying here as I didn't want the fuss of large town Phuket. The place was very clean. Close to the beach and some wonderful restaurants!! Quiet at night, yet plenty to do during the day!

Great quiet hotel with amazing staff

We needed a place to spend the night near Don Mueang airport, as we were leaving for Phuket the following afternoon. This place is quiet and comfortable, a perfect place to unwind. The staff couldn't have been nicer and treated us like royalty. Highly recommend! They'll take great care of you here.

So Simple

Check in took all of three minutes! Location is excellent. Rooms are clean, spacious with excellent shower room facilities. Linens and bed are very clean and comfortable. Lockable safe box and small fridge are terrific features. I never really felt like I was staying in a motel; it always felt kind of like a home....and that was a good feeling to have.

Nice hotel. Fairly central. Close to beach.

Quite central to restaurants and shops for quiet town of Kamala Beach. Walking distance to beach. About 5 mins walk. Hotel staff weee friendly and helpful. Room was nice enough and shower was hot! Travelled over Thailand for 2 weeks and only had warm showers until this guesthouse.

Heartwarming smiles and service

Despite a clear language barrier between us, the gent working at the guesthouse was absolutely magnificent in assisting us with all of our needs. This included car rental, a booking at a restaurant and a late check-out. It was wonderful to see his super friendly face every morning. The bed was perfect, and the shower so big that you can literally dance in it :-)

Great position for the beach.

This guest house is basic, but good, clean large rooms, with AC that works (important!) and most importantly a few mins walk to the beach. The Manager was friendly and arranged a transfer for me to another beach north of Phuket for a reasonable price (could have got cheaper if asked around but very convienient). The guesthouse is not luxurious but if looking for somewhere clean, safe, and close to the beach, with AC, safe, warm shower etc you could do a lot worse. Only negative is that they could do with new towels - mine looked very worse for wear.

Nice rooms great location

These rooms are in a fantastic quiet location right near the beach. The room we had was large with a great aircon. It is fairly basic with no frills - no kettle, cups etc, but there is a small fridge with drinks and glasses. The linen is great - but the beds are very hard Thai style. If you are after somewhere cool with the basics, this is great. We will stay again.
