First thing, be aware that there are two Best Westerns in the Shepherdsville area, seperated by only one exit off the interstate. I went to the wrong one! The staff were all friendly. The hotel was clean, quiet, and parking was easy. Although the ice machine was out of order, It was explained that a new one was on its way and small bags of ice were provided. My room with a king bed was very spacious and even had a couch. The room smelled nice and the bed was very comfortable. Soft mattress. The only thing I disliked was that the AC was not cold enough. I could not get it to blow air faster and make the kind of sound that helps me sleep. As a result, the room was a liitle too warm for me. The breakfast was decent. I only went for the waffles. They had only one maker and I had to wait forever for a mom to make herself and her kids waffles. I was excited to hear that they have special flavors, such as strawberry, for the waffle mix, in addition to the normal batter. But I did not like the bananna nutbread special flavor of the day. They also had eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, but I didn't eat any of that. Overall, this was the best hotel I've ever stayed at for under 90 dollars. I paid 80 on a Saturday night! Excellent value. Only 12.00 more than nearby two-star motels. I would definitely stay here again if the rate were similar.

The room had a king bed and sofa sleeper. It was spacious and we liked being able to relax on the couch and watch tv and make plans for the next day. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Looks like a lot of updates were recently made and bath rooms will be next. The breakfast was well stocked with good tasting options. The front desk staff was professional and poliet.
