Check in was smooth. Wifi very poor in the rooms but decent in public areas. Rooms are okay when it comes to cleanliness but sometimes the sheets can have hair on them so double check before u use them. They definitely need to update their electric equipment such as hair dryers, freezers, coffee machines etc; they look old and the hair dryer doesn't even work. Staff are nice and polite. The hotel is located in a very walkable area you have everything you need around you. Overall 6/10.

No room service at all, you keep chasing them to clean bring the main items (shower gel and soap), the water flow is not good enough, the internet was not working at all for the whole week, and the breakfast was terrible no options and it’s the worst food I have ever had.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay at this hotel was truly awful. From the moment I arrived, nothing went smoothly. I was moved from one room to another multiple times due to various issues, broken air conditioning, plumbing problems. It felt like every time I started to settle in, there was another problem. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unorganized, and while a few tried to be polite, there was clearly no proper management or quality control. After all the hassle, I didn’t even receive a proper apology or compensation for the inconvenience. For the price I paid, I expected at least a clean, functioning room and some professionalism; unfortunately, this hotel failed on both counts. I would not recommend staying there to anyone. There are far better options nearby that actually care about their guests.

I have stayed at the Rand many times, previously called the Coral. Solid common spaces, rooms on par for pricing and breakfast is adequate for a hotel of these level. The only disappointment over the years has been the garbage smell in the lower level pool and gym area. Needs to be better vented as it is a serious negative.
