Modern hotel
This was a nice & modern hotel for Rome. Room was nice but had a design flaw so effectively we had a glass window without any shutters or curtains and light flooded in all day and night. We had to escalate to hotels.com and the hotel changed our room the next day. The a/c of the first room also made a noise like a motorbike so in all we had a terrible night's sleep.
The second room had a quieter a/c and no problems with windows but the shower door didn't close properly, leaking water all over the bathroom floor. It was fine for us, though.
The hotel is a five-minutes walk from Termini station. The area is gritty with lots of touristy, expensive, terrible food options but we found one decent restaurant nearby. The hotel restaurant is also nice for dinner (avoid the pumpkin fusilli though).
Staff was generally nice. We were surprised to be asked for a 3% tip when leaving. We didn't pay but it was awkward to be asked.
