Nice hotel in Japantown

Room was not as nice as others I have had in the past. Just one, small window, which was completely blocked by the window a/c unit, with no ability to open window. Bartenders were great, though.

Perfect Inexpensive Hotel

If you want to be in/close to Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco and you want a beautiful, inexpensive hotel, the Hotel Majestic is perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay. Preet was amazing and friendky during checkout. We were also greeted by another front desk clerk on arrival but I did not get her name. Breakfast was delicious and served fresh every morning. We would definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel last minute. Had no problems checking in. It was late but I felt safe. It was well lit. It was stocked with clean towels, bathroom amenities and an extra blanket for my bed. I had a view of the street and was able to wave my family goodbye from the window. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Had a good nights rest. The alarm clock had a slot to charge my iPhone which I appreciated not Javi g to look for an outlet. Checkout was easy. Had a coffee bar available all night and day. Staff was very courteous. I will stay there again.

Beautiful hotel with an anniversary inn type feel to it. Unfortunately, there are several items that you get used to from other hotels that are missing here and, if provided, would raise the hotel's image and presence as well as helping you feel warm look and feel and thereby raising the rating I am giving. Much of these things are simple, low-hanging fruit items that could be addressed easily and at no or low cost. - Add a welcome letter placed in the room that has information on the ice machine location, breakfast time, how to use the shower faucets, etc. - Phone doesn't provide instructions on using it. I just needed to call front desk and guessed it was reached by pressing zero but I did and no one picked up. I ended up calling the front desk using my cell phone and looking up your phone number on google just to ask you what time breakfast ended. - Shorten shower curtains. The shower curtains are a trip hazard as I couldn't avoid stepping on them while showering. - Provide parking voucher for closest garage. This is my biggest complaint. I knew ahead of time that you didn't provide parking but didn't realize I needed to make a reservation in advance for the closest one. I had to walk a mile from a parking garage I found that was able squeeze me in - Bring restaurant back. Pointing to COVID as the reason behind not having the restaurant is pretty lame since the pandemic has ended - Update website if restaurant remains closed. - Sink stopper is broken.

This is a really cute, boutique hotel in the Victorian style. I like the style a lot... much better than the standard 4 star chain hotels that look like they were furnished by wayfair. The room I stayed in had a clawfoot tub, beautiful crown molding and ceiling medallion, and a lovely chandelier with crystal prisms. The wallpaper and furniture were a little careworn in places, but very clean and picturesque. It's in a safe, reasonably quiet neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants, cafes and shopping. You don't have to worry about sketchy people loitering about like you do near city hall or SOMA. It's not as centrally located as the Union Square, Nob Hill or Embarcadero hotels, but it's still very walkable and close to transit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you want to sight-see after checking out, they'll keep your luggage for you, which I highly recommend you do to avoid a car break in, which can be a bit of a problem in San Francisco, especially in the touristy areas. My stay at the Majestic was a short one, but it was a good value and I'd recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Majestic. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and my room was one of the most unique I’ve ever experienced. I usually stay at chain hotels like Hilton or Marriott—reliable and consistent—but Hotel Majestic offered something truly special. I loved the vintage style, the spacious rooms, and especially the clawfoot tub, which was a standout feature. The neighborhood was charming and very walkable, with easy access to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and a nearby corner store. The hotel’s central location also made it easy to get around—just a quick Lyft ride to most parts of the city. Although the fitness center was temporarily closed for renovations, I was still able to enjoy a good run through the neighborhood. Overall, I had a comfortable and pleasant four-night stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
