Barceló was a very accommodating hotel. The food was amazing, the Premium Level suite, and separate lounge was also a great addition to the reservation. The breakfast was very good and the food in general was tasty. This hotel is not walkable to anything so you will need uber or a rental. I believe the front desk and bell courier staff were very helpful. The hotel receives three stars due to the outdated rooms, uncleared pool area, jacuzzi being in the gym, and the cooks not being able to cook a simple hamburger with nothing on it. They wasted more food preparing it incorrectly than simply delivering a hamburger with nothing on it. This hotel also seems to be for the older crowd; so also keep that in mind when booking.

Hotel Barcelo was a great stay. My wife and I have stayed there a few times over the years. The location is good if you want to stay close to the San Jose but not in it. The cleanliness is very good and the service is great. As far as price goes, it’s inexpensive. We highly recommend this hotel.

We only stayed here on our last night before flying home. Now we wish we had stayed here for New years when we first arrive in San Jose. Its a Beautiful hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely stay here on our next visit!

Our room was very clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities we needed. They have three different restaurants on site. The breakfast is fantastic. The service is outstanding. We loved it. I was traveling with my wife and my 11 year old daughter.

The room was clean and nice, though we didn't have hand towels or a bath mat in the room. It was late so I didn't request them but I'm sure they would have brought some to us. The sauna was nice but the hot tub was a disappointment. The water was low and not hot enough.

very good and comfortable hotel, Breakfast was fine although i wish there was more variety day to day. The restaurants were not very good however- The sushi restaurant served cold rice on the sushi and did not look very appealing. The burger option at the restaurant was very sad and didnt taste very good- the meat was not great quality. However the surrounding restaurants in the area are pretty good if you go out and travel. However, i will be back in the hotel.

The reason I give 4 star is because the food weren’t properly labeled in English &there are a lot to English guess who stayed there, as to say if it was pork or ham or whatever I am allergic to those food I took pasta & it had pork salami & had to send it back now I am dealing with an allergy on my face & body . The place over all with cleanliness is 5 star..
