The Best Western Dump

This place is an actual dump. They deposit old/broken furniture and hotel items in several patios and units on the first floor. I was in a room next to this dump and had the displeasure of the view and smell of the Best Western dump. Aside from the dump, the rooms and facilities are old, dingy and dirty. In no world is this a 4 star hotel, on its best day it might be a 2 star hotel. Do yourself a favor and do not stay there.

I stayed at this hotel from March 30 to 31 and was extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by the staff on duty during the night. When I approached him for assistance in getting coins for the laundry-something as simple as exchanging a dollar bill- he refused, despite there clearly being coins available in the cash register. I also asked for help with the vending machine and again, he refused to assist. he showed no interest in helping at all, and gave off a very negative attitude throughout the interaction. What was most upsetting is that I go outside at 4:00AM, just to get coins, which felt very unsafe and completely avoidable if the staff had simply been willing to help. Strongly recommend to assign a staff who are professional, approachable, and trained in proper customer service,

This was a nice place to stay for a weekend trip. we spent the majority of our time in Santa Barbara but this hotel was well priced and only about 12 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara. the ton itself, Carpinteria is also very cute. the hotel was nice and the room was pretty clean. my only real complaint was the road and train noise in our room was a little loud. we put on a white noise app though and slept fine, so an easy fix. Also someone in a room around us was definitely smoking both nights. the first night the smell was pretty bad in our room for ours. I don't fault the hotel for that though as it is a non smoking property so another guest was clearly just entitled and rude. The staff said they would look into it but we had no idea if it was coming from next to or below us so there wasn't much staff could do. Again, no fault of the staff or hotel, just unlucky on our part. overall i would stay again for the price and condition of the hotel

The shower drain was slow to dain so you had water backing up. Then walls couldn't sleep until 4 am. People were so load.
