I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has so many good reviews when everything about my stay was so disappointing.
At check-in, the worker told us we had plenty of room options and promised to give us a “good room with a good view.” She asked us to wait until our reservation time. When she finally gave us the keys, she suddenly admitted she had made a mistake—our room didn’t actually have a private balcony, it had a shared one. This was never mentioned anywhere in the description. We were already frustrated, but decided to let it go.
When we got to the room, we turned on the AC and it made a terrible, loud noise. We called the front desk immediately, and they sent a specialist who confirmed that the unit was defective and told us we should be moved to another room. We waited, but no one ever followed up. When we called again, the front desk told us there were no available rooms and, worse, that all their AC units make the same loud noise.
We explained that it was impossible to sleep with that noise and asked them to do something—anything—to help us. Their response was basically, “There’s nothing we can do.” We even asked to cancel the reservation since the room was unlivable, but they said cancellation was not an option and that we had no choice but to stay.
This hotel has terrible customer service, zero care for guests, and broken amenities. First they messed up our room, then stuck us with a noisy AC and refused to help.
