Accommodations: The Beach on Longboat Key is a relaxing, yet modern retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, located mid-island on Longboat Key. Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of The Beach on Longboat Key #101 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Overall nice stay. I’d rate the building as a three star level hotel. Beach view was obstructed by pool equipment, but the sky was big. I’m an Interior Designer so I notice such things more. But it is ON THE BEACH. The paint job wasn’t great on the walls. Rather sloppy. Missing shelf in primary bathroom. Oddly low mirror in secondary bathroom. No mirror at all in primary bedroom…could use a full length, or any really.
End unit did have extra light from side windows, which was nice.

When we got there to check in it there was no one at the property and the instructions said to check in at the property. When I finally got a hold of someone they said we were to check in at the office down the road. Once we were checked in we realized there were not enough blankets for us. We were able to go by the office and they sent a message to someone who got back to us the next day with extra towels and blankets. The property overall was very clean with a ton of toiletries. Appliances all worked well. I would suggest more regular glasses or plastic glasses, than so many coffee mugs. Lots of utensils and plates/bowls. It would have been nice if there were directions for the TV system because it was a bit complicated (not sure we used it correctly). There were games to play and a small puzzle too. There was plenty of toilet paper and paper towels for the week. The king mattress was firm and comfortable. The twin mattress was firm and the pull out couch was not very comfortable for our 7 year old so he slept on the trundle under the day bed. The patio had a lot of bugs around it. The pool was small and nice but not extremely clean. LOVED the beach and the view was amazing. I feel like the location caused the price to be so high for what we got. OVERALL had a wonderful stay would come back to this area again maybe in another unit for our crew to be more comfortable.

Condo definitely needs some updating. The pictures on the Vrbo don’t match what you get. A lot of construction going on and around the property. Proximity to the beach was fantastic! Our refrigerator went out but it was taken care of the next day. Also..a very bright porch light shines into the master bedroom and there was no way to turn off.

Great location. Beautiful Gulf view! Wonderful weather.Not enough beach lounge chairs for 14 units.Be careful walking off back patio! There are exposed irrigation pipes/lines and rusty electrical conduit.Could use a couple of sauce pans in the kitchen.Old pictures of what the property looks like.

Perfect getaway

So, if you’re looking for something to get away, quiet, peaceful retreat with beautiful sunsets away from the center of town. This is it. I stayed in unit 101, it’s big enough, perfect sunsets from the patio. Pool and beach are right there which is convenient when traveling with 2 toddlers. The unit needs some TLC and a very deep cleaning maybe even some paint, but overall it’s a great unit and I’ll definitely be back!

After staying at a high end hotel this was initially disappointing but it served our purposes to extend our stay and having the extra bed and bathroom was great. The beach chairs could be updated but we still enjoyed our time there

Steps from beach

Lovely little rental for a quick family getaway. The beach is amazing with soft fluffy sand, the location can’t be beat, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the unit was very cute. The layout is a bit odd, with the den being a pass through from the master to the living area, but everything else more than made up for it.

Beautiful beach view, comfy unit

We would stay again! My little family had a wonderful time. The beach and pool access were great. Bed was comfy. I would suggest maybe some better cookware in the kitchen, but we made due. We only stayed a few days, but for a longer stay would bring better pots and pans since we cook a lot. The front desk lady was really nice and helpful. Wish this unit accepted pets and we would book a much longer stay this summer.

Check in was smooth and communication was easy. I was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities in the condo - they supplied all paper products, beach chairs, and beach towels. It’s located right on the beautiful gulf! Just as a warning, very hard to get food delivered, but there’s a Publix nearby.
