The fact that there was no assistance in getting our luggage to the room was distasteful. My wife and I decided to overnight at the hotel to catch an 8:00 a.m./ flight. We had four checked bags, two carry-ons, and two personal items, but were told by the receptionist that there was no one to help us verify our items at the Lkst Office.

Hotel room was fine but we had a powercut 10 minutes before checkout and the corridors were pitch black along with the stairs. We spent a couple hours in the room trying to work out what to do as we had to carry a lot of luggage down which was heavy without any lifts. not one staff member offered help or gave us an update. we had to search the hotel in the dark using our phone torches to try and find stairs. The first stairs we found we got to the bottom to find a locked door and fire exit so we had to go back up and search the rest of the hotel until we found stairs leading to the reception. there was no sign to stairs and we just wandered around until we found it. Once getting to the reception not one person asked how we were or offered any help. When complaining through expedia to get compensation for this they lied to them and said the power cut was at 1pm after checkout when it was before 12pm and offered us nothing. Absolutely horrible experience from such a high regarded and prestigious hotel brand.

Interesting Experience - Power Outage

We traveled 12+ hours from USA to London. When we got to the hotel, the power was out and unable to check in. The staff was nice, but there was no accommodation for anything. The power was completely out and the elevators were not working stairways were completely dark. Delayed checkin, no backup plan for power outage, and lack of compensation from hotel staff was disappointing and lack of top quality service from Hilton brands. Staff did they best they could, however, there was no backup plan and lack of comping free water or anything else. The hotel also lost a wedding planned there during the power outages

Location being over a mile away from Heathrow Termial 5 without proper transportation is misleading calling Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5. We thought it was a walk from the terminal simliar to the Sofitel hotel. Also the showers are lousy and leak all over the bathroom with malfunctioning rubber water repellent between the shower doors. The hotel is barely a 3 star if not lower. Dinner was one of the worst on timing and food quality

Very slow check in which when late at night is frustrating. When we got to the room it was a very stale smell as if room hasn’t been used or aired recently. The hairdryer only had a cold setting which was not acceptable. But with having to make flight had to give up. It would appear that because people use this hotel as they need to be close to the airport, repeat business and good impressions are not considered important. Disappointing.

My stay was very nice, and check in was smooth. The large bed was comfortable and I enjoyed having a quiet space to relax in between flights. The only draw back from this stay were a few amenities malfunctioning in my room. The tv, which should display dinning options and help me order room service wasn’t working. My bathtubs’ drain would lift up again after being let down to draw a bath resulting in the bath water not draining. Other than these random problems, the stay was very enjoyable.
