The hotel itself is beautifully built. The staff at check in was very friendly. I did not appreciate having to walk back up to my room to get my ID solely to pick up dinner i ordered from the Asian restaurant. I was unaware the Asian restaurant was in the rear of the casino. It is not within proximity of all the other restaurants. That was pretty irritating. The worst part about the hotel is how uncomfortable the beds are. The beds are very firm. Like VERY firm. Firm enough that as a side sleeper, my hip bones were sore. The best part of the room is the shower. It takes a bit for the hot water to come through, but once it does, it is nice and hot. I absolutely love the rain fall shower head. Plus, the shower is nice and roomy. The hotel has a nice array of restaurants but they are not all open on the same days, which was too bad. I really wanted tl try the steakhouse.

The staff at this hotel and casino were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay pleasant in that regard. However, despite booking a nonsmoking room, we experienced significant smoke infiltration through the vents from neighboring smoking rooms, both cigarette and cigar smoke. This made our room uncomfortable and defeated the purpose of a designated nonsmoking space. Additionally, while smoking is allowed in the casino, it would have been much better if they had a nonsmoking section to accommodate guests who prefer a smoke-free gaming environment.

It seems like the casino hotel was built with no expense spared, but is run by lowest bidder management/staff. Beautiful rooms and spaces, but the hallway carpets need stretched and are a trip hazard. Checkin was unnecessarily complicated. I had prepaid all but the $10/night resort fee. Yet, at check in I was charged the fee plus $50 deposit (which was also not unexpected) plus a pending fee equal to the cost of the room again. The morning clerk said that wasn't right, but she was unable to resolve it. Later in the day another staff member said since it was only a pending charge I shouldn't be concerned. When I asked for a luggage trolley, I was told they needed to hold my ID so I would bring the cart back, but when I brought it back, I had to again wait in the line for check ins to get my ID back. Seems to be room for process improvement there. When my husband went to get a trolley to check out, he was not asked for an ID. Maid service consisted of taking out the trash and dumping a pile of towels on the bed. Parking instructions were unnecessarily confusing, as there was ample free parking in multiple locations. The hotel is high end, but management and/or staff brings the experience down.

We drove from Houston heading to Chicago (LONG DRIVE!) I booked this hotel on the way, but when I arrived to check in I was told by the front desk that my reservation had been canceled!! Im still mad about this because when I booked the room I put in the comments that we were going to arrive at 3:00 am. We were exhausted and it was late so we had to pay for the room on the spot again because they canceled our reservation without letting us know! They said that since I used a third party there was nothing they could do that I had to reach out to Expedia to try to get a refund! I called Expedia 3 days ago and I’m still waiting from Expedia to get a refund! This is totally unacceptable!
