On the plus side: Magnificent frontage in a central city area, which was ideal for my work-related visit. Reception staff very polite and helpful. Car parking, whilst available, was a bit of a hike away, not ideal if you are lugging a lot of bags. On the down-side: I was located in a ground floor room proximal to the laundry. It was very noisy as neighbours above were stomping about until the wee hours then up stomping about before dawn. I was terrorised all night by insects/ mosquitoes, which appeared to be coming in from under the main room door, with which I had to wedge a towel. The air-conditioner unit did not work; not great on a hot evening in a small room as felt claustrophobic. And the bathroom smelt very mouldy, not great for allergy sufferers. Would I stay again? I loved the aesthetic and location and given it was a brief business trip, I managed through the discomforts. If I was staying longer than a day, I'd shop around.

Decent hotel

Decent hotel in a nice quiet area of the city. Hotel front and reception area is lovely, staff were friendly and helpful throughout stay. Unfortunately our room was very small and had hardly any storage, not good for a couple travelling with suitcases. The hotel seems more suited to business trips for one or two nights.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Absolutely horrendous management, so much so that it’s obvious it does not care if people return to the hotel or provide negative feedback or reviews. The hotel did not have power and the only thing the hotel did to address the problem was pass out flashlights. I’m not exaggerating. There are way too many other hotels in Sydney that would be happy to have your business, than for you to take a chance on this place.
