I had a fantastic stay at this Holiday Inn Express! The location of the hotel is really convenient as it’s located a (less than) 5 minute walk from Watford Junction station, and there were plenty of unique food options in/around the area. :) The bed was comfy and got a great night of sleep; was a little difficult to adjust the temp of the room but was all fine once I managed to figure that out. The staff in particular really enhanced my stay; they were all so friendly and accommodating and happy to help with absolutely anything I needed.

Came to Watford for the Harry Potter Studio Tour and this hotel was close to the train station and the free buses that take you to the Studios. It was a nice clean hotel with decent free breakfast.

Great budget hotel

We spent very little time in the hotel as we were visiting family nearby. Nice hotel inside - somewhat complicated to find with the sat nav which takes you to the back and a not so great area. Reception staff were lovely. Room was spacious and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was nice but would have liked some more pastry options and better fruit choices given the price we paid for a Saturday night as it was bit low on options but what was there was good. We were just travelling locally but feel this would be a good base for outside of London and you could travel in.

The staff (all of them) are exceptional. They are polite, very efficient and extremely friendly. The hotel is very clean, and our room was lovely. This hotel is very close to Watford Junction and The Harry Potter Studios Tour shuttle bus. I’d say between a two to five minute walk. There is a fabulous shopping mall in the town centre, due to the weather we got a taxi both ways and it was only £5-£6 each way depending on the traffic. It’s easily walkable though. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the food was piping hot and very tasty. I recommend this hotel very highly. Thank you for a perfect stay.

The staff were very friendly and professional during check-in. Breakfast was great. They had a buffet offering a typical English breakfast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, a coffee machine and fruit juice. The location was great (a short walk to Watford Junction station). The room was spacious and clean. There are shops, pubs and restaurants just a 2 or 3 minute walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall great! Nicely located behind train station, walking distance to town centre and dining options. Breakfast is nice, nothing fancy but all you need delivered in reasonable quality and order. Staffs are great, friendly and helpful

Air conditioning falsely advertised

The hotel itself was excellent, unfortunately the room was like a sauna, the air conditioning didn't work. When i spoke to reception I was advised the air con was centralised which didn't sound right, because the hotel itself was very cool. After complaining a second time the receptionist came to the hotel and confirmed the room was like a sauna, his solution was an extra fan which just blew warm air. Shocking service and clearly advertising rooms as air conditioned is not quite right, as its apparently centralised access the hotel... They never offered a solution apology or refund

Overnight stay after Wembley concert

Great location, easy check in. Air con worked well as kept window closed overnight to reduce noise. Good breakfast. Rail link to Wembley Central worked perfectly and headed to London Euston easily the next day

Friendly staff, convenient location, but room uncomfortable as temperature we were told was hotel based and 23.5 degrees at night was too hot. The staff provided a fan but that didn't help much and was noisy. So not the most comfortable stay.

Hotel was in a great location with Watford Junction being a short walk away. He hotel had parking and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive both at check-in and breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and had good amenities. Perfect for what we needed.

Had a 1 night stay as we were going to Harry Potter Studios. Location is great - Just a few mins walk from Watford Junction. Check-in was very quick, room was clean and the sofa bed was made up on our arrival (which isn't always the case). Breakfast in the morning was lovely, warm and fresh. Staff were friendly and approachable, we were given takeaway cups for a coffee togo and my son was given a little bag to pop some fruit in for our journey home. Would definitely stay here again!!

Everything is amazing but it would be perfect if bottled water can be provided too. There are no convenience stores nearby so hard to buy drinks after concert and going back to the hotel.
