I arrived in the late evening when the reception was closed, but the staff had kindly left my key in a safe place. The rooms are named after animals, I was in the SHEEP room which had lifesize and authentic-looking toy sheep on the carpet as well as sheep motif on the curtains and a huge ram picture on the all next to the bed. The room was immaculately clean, the bed comfortable. I would return.

El hospedaje no es en un castillo. Es afuera del castillo en habitaciones construidas. El cuarto estaba lleno de moscas (al menos 5 moscas). Los paños delgados y el techo tiene un desnivel donde nos golpeamos la cabeza. Bien ubicado pero no vale la pena. En la zona recomendado el Haus Nachtigall B&B.

We hadden een last minute geboekt via Expedia en de reviews waren dusdanig goed dat we geen enkele twijfel hadden dat we hier goed zaten: goede bedden en goed ontbijt staan voor ons erg hoog op de wenslijst. Het was inderdaad een goed bed, de kamer was schoon en netjes, badkamer idd nieuw, alleen hadden we ons niet ingesteld op het slapen in een bedstee, bloody hot en met de paardenposters en het net-niet-sterrenplafond was het eigenlijk een kinderkamer. De receptioniste was heel aardig en had leuke humor, ze kon het goed verkopen (toen wisten we het nog niet) en daar was verder niks op aan te merken maar toen ze vroeg of we een ontbijt wilden reserveren à 22 euro p.p. zijn we daarmee akkoord gegaan met veel te hoge verwachtingen. We hadden aangegeven om 8 uur te willen ontbijten omdat we een hele volgeplande dag hadden maar bij aankomst in de ontbijtruimte was er nog niemand. Kwart over 8 was het licht aan en konden we wel zitten en vast beginnen en wij dachten dat het eerste gedeelte van het ontbijt er stond en dat dat nog zou worden aangevuld. Niet dus, ik vond het voor die 22 euro heel karig. Op aandringen kwamen er nog wel scrumbled eggs en tomaten en kaas bij. Ook het zitten aan een grote ronde tafel met de andere hotelgasten, dat trekken we heel slecht met name in de ochtend. Ons geeft het het gevoel dat de losse boekingen leuke extraatjes zijn want alles draaide om het bruidspaar en de gasten die ochtend. Wellicht hebben wij gewoon pech gehad maar voor ons eenmalig.
