The hotel is in an excellent location with all the amenities and attractions within walking distance. The staff are friendly and efficient and we’re all willing to do that extra bit to make our stay worthwhile The hotel’s parking arrangements are excellent, especially for a hotel right in the city centre.The room itself was clean and spacious with everything you would expect. The food was excellent- nothing extraordinary - but very well cooked.

Great location across the street from York Minster. Lots of dining options nearby. Unless you book a suite, this is a typical European- style hotel with very small rooms. Bed was not comfortable and the carpeting was dirty. Someone used a key card to open our room door while we were inside and left when we acknowledged our presence. Reported incident to front desk. Upon check out, front desk said no one from housekeeping said it was them. That is concerning. Hotel could definitely use a facelift. But then again, it’s all about location, location, location.

My husband and I stayed one night. Our room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a beautiful view of Yorkminster out our window. It was walkable to all the sites, shopping, and restaurants. The breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend.

I was with a young friend and her 3-year-old boy. The waiters were really sweet with him bringing him a folder with colouring games to play and a fox mask. One waiter brought him extra strawberries. They all made a fuss of him which was much appreciated. We had very good service too! And enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner. We just had one night with you. I chose you for your brilliant site opposite the Minster and was not disappointed!

Hotel is in a fantastic location for the Minster and other city attractions. Our room was lovely, comfy, clean and lots of character. The only issue was the temperature and lack of air con. The hotel have kindly put one unit and a cool air blower in the room which was great during the day but too loud for sleeping so turned off at night. Slept with the windows open so sleep was disrupted due to city noise. Other than that great stay. Staff very helpful and polite.

Very good location in center of York. Great view of York Minster. The family room is spacious for family of 5. Remodeled bathrooms with good shower facility. The only downside is uneven hardwood floor makes noises. And less sound isolation. Mattress is too bouncy.

Not a bad hotel, party revellers spoiled the trip

Aircon vent pipe stuck outside through open single glazed window, not a good start, party revellers still having a blast in the street below at 3am also didnt help matters, whilst staff where working flat out reception isnt permanently staffed at certain times. Bathroom is a little small sink crammed in a corner, overall for the price just ok

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay at the Dean Court hotel. The location can't be beat! Walkable to everywhere and right next to the minster. A delicious breakfast was included as well. The room was comfortable and spacious for our family of 3. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even stores our bags for part of the day. The only negative was the moisture in the bathroom. There was black mold on the ceiling in a few places.
