It was a nice hotel in a great location in the city and the staff were polite and nice. The bed was comfortable and there was a box of delicious biscuits on the bed as a welcome. My only problem was that the kettle was not clean, there was a lot of dust and stains around the outside of the kettle and the noise from the room above was completely disturbing my sleep in the afternoon and morning. Apparently, due to my bad luck, a strange passenger was causing the noise (from what I was told).

This was an awesome place to call home during our time in Amsterdam. The staff were great, the rooms were nicely designed and comfortable and the attached restaurant had excellent food. Location was also very convenient with walkable access to the train station and other areas of the canal district. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

Warm friendly historic hotel

Warm welcome from reception. Really helpful. Clean room with the most gorgeous bar attached. Would recommend. It is just off Dam square, so very central to places like Anne Frank’s house, the shopping district and the lovely canals.
