Our experience at Athens Gate was amazing from the moment we stepped out of the taxi to the moment we checked out. The staff was amazing, friendly, and extremely helpful. Our room was amazing with a great view of the Acropolis. We dined each night on the rooftop restaurant with a great meal and wonderful service. The breakfast was also top-notch. It was very helpful that we were within walking distance to Plaka and the Acropolis. Despite being on a major road, our room was quite quiet. We were on the seventh floor. I can’t say enough good things about Athens gate, just absolutely wonderful place to stay! I recommend it to everyone traveling to Athens.

All of the staff were cheerful, kind and helpful. One employee regularly helped me with my Greek. The rooms were wonderful. We found a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. Breakfast, which was an extensive array of food, on the top floor with a view of the Parthenon or the Temple of Zeus was fantastic. We walked to every place we wanted to go. Just 5 minutes to the Acropolis Museum, less than 15 to the Acropolis. We loved this hotel.

The hotel is ideally located for the main tourist attractions in central Athens. The Temple of Zeus is across the street, as is a stop for the open top tour buses. There are many outdoor restaurants in the local area and the Acropolis is only 10 minutes walk away. Customer service at the hotel is excellent and they provide a very nice buffet style breakfast in the rooftop restaurant where you can eat inside or outside

Staff are super friendly and location is great. Room was clean, but very dark. It was also very noisy. I was woken up often by noise from the hallways and staff. There was also no outlet in the bathroom for me to do my hair.

The staff on the front desk were exceptional. Always smiling and willing to help. After a long journey from Canada they were able to put us in our room at noon which was heaven! The room was a good size and the bathroom huge. The breakfast included was absolutely amazing, it had everything one would need/want. Thanks for an awesome stay!!

The Athens Gate is an amazing property with fantastic views of the Acropolis from your balcony if you request that room type. The staff was very friendly and helpful and you are only a few minutes (safe) walk to the incredible Plaka shopping and dining district as well as the Acropolis itself. There is an excellent 'rooftop' bar with great views of the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis and the breakfasts served up there were fantastic. We loved this hotel.

Perfect location for the Acropolis and other historic sites, just down the street from a HOHO bus stop. Staff are efficient and excellent and restaurant with a perfect view of the Parthenon is likewise excellent. Wis there were Nespresso machines in room or at least at breakfast but that is a minor detail. Also noise from street is 24/7 even with soundproofing but not much to be done about that. Rooms and beds are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!
