The Staff were excellent and couldn`t do enough for us. The food was very good and plentiful. Really loved the area and my only problem was the room size and sloping floors but due to the age of the building it was to be expected. We will be back again as it is a well run Hotel.

Lovely setting, good size room for the price, but up a flight of very creaky stairs as lift did not go to top floor, which, to be fair, was made aware of this could be a possibility on booking. Bed was big, but very uncomfortable and shower drain was blocked so water did not drain well.

Room was very clean. Stairs everywhere. My mom uses a walker and I asked before we booked if it was accessible. From the elevator to the room it was two steps down and seven steps up. Not acceptable. I will never use hotels.com again.

A little out of the way.

Was surprised there was only 1 disabled parking space in a fairly large car park. Rooms showed this was an old property with frayed, faded threadbare furnishings in places. Room was compact with I would say a 3/4 bed and not a double. En-suite was also compact. Linen and towels were lovely. Breakfast and evening dinner food was excellent. Great service from our server Caitlin. I just wish we had been told there was a wedding being held there on Saturday as we would have cancelled our booking as evening there was only the Avon room available for us to sit in that was freezing, so we spent the evening in our room as we didn’t like to impose on the wedding party. Gentleman on reception afternoon/evening his name began with E was also very helpful. On leaving Sunday morning my car was blocked in by a wedding guest and needed to request it to be moved as I needed to get away.

Lovely hotel. Not as convenient for Bath as hoped.

Nice hotel in lovely location with stunning views from our room. Staff very helpful and attentive. Hotel generally clean but needs some investment. The concern arose as there was a wedding at the hotel while we were staying which made it very busy and noisy so we did not want to use the restaurant for dinner. It became very apparent that getting to Bath or another nearby town for dinner was extremely difficult without using our own car. Public transport is very limited and taxi drivers didn't want to make the journey.

Absolutely stunning setting close to Bath. The staff were courteous and helpful, the bed was comfortable and everywhere was clean. Breakfast food was of good quality and served in beautiful dining areas. Hope to return soon.
