If you are visiting LBI, you cannot go wrong with the “Surf City Hotel”. I want to address something that was mentioned regarding the rooms situated above the restaurant. Other reviewers have mentioned that when the restaurant is crowded or they have a musical guest that the sound penetrates into the room. While this is true it doesn’t detract from the enjoyment or privacy of the room. My room was right above the restaurant and while I could hear spillage from the restaurant, it can best be described as distant sounds. The hotel spells this all out when you reserve a room above the restaurant as well. Hope to see the folks at SCH again next month.

Great spot in LBI cute rooms everything you need quality towels but unfortunately worst bed I’ve ever slept on. Way too hard. Other reviews mentioned this and they were right one night doable but I couldnt. Do another night location awesome food in restaurants great

Good value hotel

Clean and quiet in mid-April off-season. Centrally located, 15 mins from Barnegat Lighthouse. Wally's next door restaurant very good food. I would have liked an in-room coffee machine, the one at front desk had no water.

Last minute decision and so happy we choose surf city hotel! Room was cozy, comfortable and clean. Pleasantly surprised with discount for restaurant and Liquor store attached to hotel. Excellent location and walking distance to beach and others stores in town.

Made the best of it! Chowderfest was great!

Room was two large flights up, window AC’s, step up to bathroom, no grab bars by toilet or in shower, bathroom sink leaked the third night we were there and the bathroom sink was very loose and almost falling off the wall.

Hotel was very clean. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach which is really nice. Only complaint were that the mattresses were hard as rock. My friends and I woke up with back and neck pain every morning. But overall the location was great.

The room was small but clean. Oversized furniture made it look cluttered. The bathroom was clean and stocked with big towels and other linens. There was no closet for hanging items and the air conditioner, while clean, was inefficient. Four of the six drawers were filled with the extra pillows and blankets, leaving little room for our items.
