I was in room 317. The lamp fell off the wall in the middle of the night. The mattress fell off the bed with me on it. My daughter had another room. She had no room, darkening curtains and couldn’t sleep all night because it was light outside she had a window over her bed and that was the only window in the room she was on the fifth floor.

I loved the location and the view from our room. The only negative would be the way the hotel website displays their rooms. My room had a great view but my room didn’t look anything like the room shown on the website. Our room was very small and the one displayed was a lot larger. They need to be more specific. The shower also was disappointing. Water filled the whole bathroom after showering. I would stay again but would ask to see the room prior to checking in. Also, although the balcony was nice, you can only stand outside and not sit. It was also a shared balcony so make sure you close and lock the door or your neighbor could walk into your room.

The property was in an excellent location. It was clean and staff were nice. Our room was tiny and the view was a big, close wall. The room was sweltering and there was no air conditioning. If you pay top dollar, you can get an outstanding view of Bryggen Wharf, otherwise you get a dark, crammed, hot room.

Fantastic views over the harbour which made up for the terrible shower over the bath. A mat for the base of the bath should be an essential. Lovely bar & staff but the one night we ate in the restaurant our steak meals were unfortunately terrible. No taste & just about impossible to cut! The location is great.

Upon check-in staff informed us that rooms were hot; a fan would be beneficial but they didn’t have any I asked if they could bring one when available; I was told no and to keep checking back.chair was unsafe; ie leg was loose and wobbly They did repair it; balcony outside extremely small; only one person could sit there. Bed very uncomfortable. After staying at Clarion The Hub in Oslo this property was a disappointment I would not choose to stay here again.

Clarion Catastrophe

No AC and bad ventilation made for an uncomfortable sleep. Our room was non-standard and unappealing, with a floor-to-ceiling pole in the center of the room and a large soffit that consumed several feet of space. In conversation with others, it became clear that our room was not at all like the others: it was a dud. We deserve a refund.
