First the pros, then the cons. Pros: Location was fantastic. Size of the apartment was also VERY large, especially for central Berlin. Kitchen was well appointed. Cons: The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The entire setup felt as though they were checking off the boxes for items (all purchased at IKEA). The bathroom was very ill-designed (for example, there was no inner shower curtain, so after every shower, the entire floor was soaked). Also, the tub was extremely high step-in, so people with mobility issues should be aware of this. Overall, the rooms presented in the picture are not representative of the entire property. Our apartment appeared to be renovated some time in the 80's. The location does really provide a lot of value, so that's not to be overlooked, but you should keep your expectations in line with the comments listed above.

Great location and apartment itself. Lots of room and had everything we needed for our stay. However, the building inside looks like it has not been cared for and is very dark at night which felt uncomfortable trying to get in and out in an unfamiliar place. Overall, felt safe in the area.

The location of the property was the main selling point. Most major tourist destinations are within walking distance. There was limited shopping in the area and the kitchen/dining facility was almost non-existent (very limited menu and the hours of operation were limited). Room was clean, but very dated.

The apartment was very big and spacious with nice views. Very centrally located and walkable to a lot of popular areas. The condition of some things could've been better. The shower was broken which they did not fix. The furniture was old and was ripped from parts. The bathroom was small compared to how big the apartment was. The communication can also improve. I got no response about check-in time as well as fixing the shower etc. The apartments are at different buildings than the reception, some 5-10 mins away- so the entire process is time consuming. But overall worth the price for the location and space!

The room was very clean and well appointed, perfect for a multi-day stay. The online photos and description were accurate. The location of the apartment was perfect for exploring the city. On the down side, the unit we had was very warm for October temperatures, even with the heat off and windows open, and it sat right above a steakhouse, so the odor of grilling meat was pervasive every evening. The bed was also very firm.

The location is outstanding, near restaurants and the city center and lots of historical locations and museums. The apartment and bed were fine, though it seems just rude that they don't provide shampoo or even salt and pepper, or filters for the coffee maker, or soap for the washing machine. But the apartment was spacious, off a major street, and very functional.

This place is a dump. The buildings and elevator are gross. If you’re on the 8th floor, there’s no elevator access so you have to take stairs. They don’t have PILLOWS!!! Instead, it’s a blanket wrapped in a sheet to make it like a pillow. The bed had hair and the place was GROSS. When we raised the issues with the manager who said he’s also the owner, he didn’t care at all to do anything and doubled down that he told us there is no elevator and they do have pillows. Absolutely horrendous place to stay. There’s a reason it’s so cheap. By the way, no shampoo either even though it’s an “aparthotel”

This is a really nice property. The aparment that we were given was clean, spacious, and comfortable. For 3 of us we had plenty of space. It is within walking distance of so much. Brandenburg gate is 2 blocks away and there are a varity of restaurants around the corner. A grocery store a few blocks away near the Mall of Berlin. We easily walked from the museums. If visiting for the marathon, it is a perfect location and the price is reasoable for the location. The only drawback was that the apartment was not air conditioned but each room had a fanand it was only warm noon to early afternoon. It was 80 degrees when we were there but it cooled down nicely in the evening. The only other issue is that the property doesnot communicate well through the 3rd party messaging. I sent several messages via the 3rd party site (as directed) and received no answer. However, when we were communicating directly, they were prompt and helpful. It is a great property. Would stay there again.

The location is good if you like to be in the heart of the historic places. It was absolutely quiet at night. Spacious, big corridor, but very basic. There wasn't any essentials: shampoo, body wash, salt... Poor equipped kitchen.

Apartment itself was a little dated. There is no air conditioning so avoid staying in the warmer months. There is a washing machine in the apartment but no dryer. Plenty of space in the apartment. The location around the apartments are excellent for dining and shopping. Right around the corner from Mall of Berlin. Just be aware that the apartment you are given may be some walking distance away from the actual reception, as ours was.

Fantastic location compensates for basic apartment

Fantastic location. 1bedroom apartment with kitchen, TV room, bathroom and washing machine. The apartment is large in a secure building on 3rd floor with lift and 2 metal balconies. The facilities are functional but basic, beds are very firm, dining table, only 2 chairs, TV room with very low sofa that is not very comfortable. An extra pillow for the beds and cushions on the sofa would be welcome additions. Local restaurants, supermarket, and Berlin Mall are all close. 5 minutes from Brandenburg Gate, US Embassy, UK Embassy and French Embassy.

The perfect place to stay in Berlin

This place does everything right. I hate apartments with a kitchen where they don't supply a dish cloth to wash dishes, a larger one to dry, dish soap, or a cutting board. Its the little things that can make or break a place. It was also spotlessly clean, excellently maintained and well laid out. Even though i arrived after their checkin cutoff time, the instructions were easy to follow. Bed was comfortable, couch was great to hang out on. And the location was perfect, central and close to so many museums, restaurants amd a huge grocery store. My start there could not have been better!
