Quick and friendly check-in. Staff had mad up the sofa- bed for my son, which was really nice. They ordered a taxi for us to go to the venue in town and were very informative when I asked questions.
Room was very overpriced and smelled a bit musty. Mould in shower and stains on duvet. The window frames were dirty and the whole hotel is in dire need of renovation.
I started to write a long review and then gave up. Needless to say, we won't be coming back due to a number of reasons. From exceptionally poor management to bra pads lying about in reception, to being asked to leave as they'd allocated us the wrong room, this place is awful.
Hotel is perfectly adequate for a short stay. Clean, comfortable and staff are helpful.
Unfortunately mobile reception is poor if you are in a lower level room.
HEATING NOT WORKING IN ROOMS AND INSECTS IN THE BATHROOM
Our family room was freezing due the hotel having a known problem with the heating (not working). We were provided with a portable heater which was not enough to warm up the room. We were promised a second heater by the gentleman on reception but this didn’t come. My wife and son caught a cold from sleeping in a freezing room and have been unwell all week following the stay.
Small insects were coming in and out from under the worn seal next to the sink and hand towels in the bathroom.
The hotel is dated and in need of repair/ modernisation.
Service is terrible- logged a complaint when checking out on Sunday. Heard nothing so we rang the hotel on Thursday and were told by the general manager Jason that he was too busy to discuss and to email him instead. He acknowledged the email saying he was busy all day and would investigate and come back to us asap (Sunday afternoon and still not heard back!)
Set within a decent looking neighbourhood & a huge car park, free as long as you enter reg details. Room was really clean & just right for a nights stay. Initially thought no tea/coffee making facilities but found them nestled in a cupboard. Decent pressure for shower. Was a little warm but felt couldn’t leave window open overnight as on ground floor with no retainer. That said a decent nights sleep & would recommend.
