The pictures clearly were photoshopped to make it look super appealing. Reality was a far cry from those pictures - felt a little deceived to be honest. As I drove to the hotel, I can only describe it as council estate looking - it’s super old and needs a real revamp. The car park next to it stinks of urine, the lift is temperamental and when not working you need to take the stairs which also looked like a crime scene. Did not feel safe at all. The room condition was old but fairly clean. Beds gave us backache, air conditioning machine was noisy. House keeping left the kettle with water in and the tray with cups were wet suggesting they did not clean this area. Cups had stains
Staff at lobby were friendly and probably the only positive of the stay. The lady greeting us for breakfast was only interested in performing duties, no eye contact, no greeting. Breakfast was buffet style, adequate for needs but probably not worth the money. Better options in the centre.
Location good, right in the heart of city centre.
Extremely disappointed for a Marriott hotel.
