2/10 Terrible

We stayed at several hotels in the same price range during our two-week Benelux trip, and this was by far the worst.
Despite being close to the airport, it’s surprisingly inconvenient to reach. The nearest train station, Diegem, has no elevator, so you must carry luggage down stairs before pushing it uphill for the long walk to the hotel on uneven, muddy surfaces. Diegem also has no direct morning trains to the airport, so you’re stuck using the €5-per-person, 35-minute hotel shuttle, which is slower than the train from central Brussels.
The hotel is in a desolate office park with no nearby cafes or shops. The rooms were worn-out and poorly designed—stained chair, scratched walls, dirty ceiling, rattling air vent, and harsh floodlight-style lighting.
For couples, the bathroom setup is a disaster. Instead of a real wall, the bathroom has a glass enclosure right next to the bed, offering zero privacy. The barn-style glass door shakes loudly whenever you open/close it, the shower has no door so the floor by sink gets wet, and the toilet is uncomfortably close to the bed.
Even navigating the hotel is strange—the elevator drops you into a dark concrete room, where you must find the right hallway door. This hotel feels like a poorly converted office building, and the experience was unpleasant and impractical.
