Bryce Canyon Pines was everything we needed for our visit to Bryce Canyon the next day. The mattress and towels were new and nice and the shower was hot, but the room had not been renovated…ever? The bathroom was very teeny and the carpet scary old and stained. I would say the room was otherwise clean, but did see a flossing pick behind the nightstand, so…
I rated the cleanliness of the outside of the property as poor as the trash can was overflowing when we arrived at 5 PM and was also overflowing when we left at 8 AM. Pizza boxes and trash were sitting behind it and it was gross. I rated the staff as unfriendly because when we checked in the front desk, the clerk did not look up and was clearly not having a good day. She did become friendlier as we proceeded, but when we got to the restaurant, we were greeted by a not so friendly server. However, with that said, our particular waitress was very sweet and nice and when I had to send back the ultra chewy ribeye, she was kind. However, the not so friendly server came by to take the steak to the chef and was not very nice about it. Therefore, I would say if you have no other options, you’re safe to stay and eat at Bryce Canyon Pines, however, there are other options in the area I would try first.
