First, the location is just perfect. We can walk to many fine restaurants and shops. The massage at their spa was amazing. The spa is really nice. The receptionist were very helpful and very professional. I highly recommend this place!

We were disappointed with our stay at the Grand Hotel Continental Bucharest. Hotel looks very dated and tired and certainly didn't reflect the five stars it's supposedly rated. On our arrival we had an easy with the bathroom, which the hotel team quickly sorted by moving us to another room. The room certainly had an old charm about it and it was very spacious. The bathroom was average. The shower was a shower bath that had poor pressure and poor heating (reception told me that we need to leave it running for a few minutes for it to heat up). For a 5-star place we expected more. The hotel is in a great location and it's only a short walk to the Old Town and there are heaps of cafes, restaurants and shops around.

Overall a really enjoyable stay in Bucharest. The hotel is impressive in a grand style although out of season a bit understaffed for a 5 star experience. The room was excellent and the complementary fruit basket on arrival was a nice touch. The hotel is well located so it’s easy to walk into town and find restaurants etc. the restaurant at the hotel was good too. I would recommend as an option if staying in Bucharest
