LIARS, THIEVES and RUDE
I travel a lot to countries all over the world. This was in my top 2 of the WORST places I have stayed in overall experience. I'll keep this short. I paid for 3 nights through Hotels.com. Upon arrival, I noticed numerous employees lingering in the lobby. Although the building has 80 rooms, the gave me a room above the lobby area. They proceeded to sporadically do very loud maintenance/construction, in between just standing around, then bang on walls and pipes for 20 min.. repeat for 2 days... I asked why they did not disclose this LOUD maintenance issue. I informed them, it was just far too much noise and an extremely uncomfortable establishment. They offered to reimburse me for my 3rd night, so, I paid for other accommodations and vacated. They then refused to credit my account. It's all in writing thru Whatsapp. There is much more to add, but I know long reviews get skipped over. Please heed my warnings about this place and do not give them your money, business or your precious time. Hotels.com spoke with them also and Hotel Bonampak refused to issue the refund. In addition, it is it is overpriced for comparables in the downtown area. I failed to do enough research. I hope this helps others. Cancun is beautiful. This place and these people are horrible.
