Great facilities, location, rooms and staff.

Really good hotel, great facilities including the pool and Spa. Staff were exceptional. The room itself was lovely, very comfortable, we had a family room with a shower for accessibility for my disabled wife and the rooms were really quiet. No banging doors all night !!!! Worth noting g that you gave to pay for parking, but the rates are fair. Location is very convenient and you cannot hear the motorway! A really great place go stay and woukd happily do so again.

Nice stop over

Good for a stop over. Receptionist - her name began with a B was really helpful and so was the male that assisted her with our order. Nice reception area. Bathroom door a bit odd separate to the sink but non the less acceptable.

Good hotel but marred by insect bites

We stayed here about a year ago and we all thought the hotel was slightly worn this time around. However, staff were helpful if not always in evidence. Food was good in restaurant and bar. However, I personally had an issue with insect bites. We stayed Wednesday to Friday. On Thursday I stayed in the hotel until late afternoon and had lunch in the bar. After lunch I went back to the room and almost immediately was bitten on my leg although wearing thick jeans. I spoke with the housekeeping staff who thought it was a ‘mosquito’ bite. But they insisted they hadn’t experienced any issues in the hotel. We dined in the hotel restaurant and then went back to our rooms. On Friday morning I had another 20 or so bites. I discussed with the receptionists at checkout and they apologised! They also provided me with an email address so I could email the hotel. At that time I thought they perhaps should deep clean our room. However, I emailed at around midday on Friday and 24 hours later have not received a reply. I was the only person in our group affected.

Hotel was nice however a few buts in the room were tired and need replacing. Bath tub had a chip on the bottom. Paintwork needs refreshing
