Unfortunately this hotel has gone right down. Lady on reception was happy and chatty,unlike other staff.My particular room felt very dated,extremely noisy when trying to sleep .not just from other guests but sounded like an events room was being sorted out.Lights on wall kept going on and off,couldn’t face boiling the kettle when I looked inside.Breakfast wasn’t great,only plus was it’s location with the railway station.

Great service on arrival & throughout my stay - very friendly staff! Upgraded room for me from second to fourth floor so that i had a river view - incredibly generous of them. The hotel is serviceable but tired. The view of the river is magnificent though.

Rooms were lovely and cosy and a decent size, good bathrooms too. Very friendly and bar open until midnight! Decent breakfast, although cooked breakfast relatively small (when you specify mushrooms, you don't expect to get just one!).

Convenient location (between Chatham & Rochester), with free customer parking & breakfast included. Nice river view room. Certainly good value for money. However, the room & general facility is rather dated. Uncomfortable bed mattress. Also had a rather noisy neighbour (enjoying rather loud TV until 3am).

Staff are very friendly however the carpark was closed and i specifically chose this hotel for the parking. I had no notification prior to the stay to let me know aboit the parking, i had to pay £7 for on road parking. The rooms were very grubby, desk was damaged, bed wasnt sturdy (big dip in the middle), dripping tap from the shower constantly, not all the lights worked and shower wasnt powerful enough. Breakfast was nice however not all you can eat and only 1 of each cooked items so very underwhelmed.

No accessible parking. Over priced drinks at the bar. Booked a deluxe river view room which was the worst room I've ever stayed in with no river view (Room 102), carpets everywhere throughout are dirty and disgusting, no tea bags at breakfast this morning as they had run out, no butter available either, 1 mushroom on a plate is not adequate, powder tasting orange juice, Waitering staff look dirty and untidy, reception staff look untidy and all staff should be in uniform! We changed room to 210 and although it was very dated and in poor condition, the bed was clean and comfortable. Would not recommend this hotel!

Pleasantly surprised, made to feel very welcome, lovely bar and reception area. Room was cleam, bright and spacious with a large bathroom. Delicious breakfast with cereal, juice, tea & coffee and a cooked breakfast. Only downside was unable to park at hotel but was easy to find somewhere around the corner.

Very, very poorly presented, tired and dirty. Big toe nail trimming in middle of my bedroom floor. It wasn't mine I lost mine 30 years ago. Shower stopped running half way through showering. Shower head bracket broken complete with DIY shower curtain. Shower dirty and need of repair and refurbishment. Toilet seat very loose. Room was absolutely tiny, good mattress and pillow although they were like sleeping on concrete. Breakfast was pathetic. AND it was bloody expensive.
