Delightful stay at a charming inn and pub! I loved this place and it was an incredible value. A 20-minute drive to Chatsworth and less than 10 to the Chesterfield train station, it could not have been more convenient. The pub was the best part- such nice local character and such friendly people. And amazing prices! I would definitely stay here again!

great stay, yes room was spotless, superb comfy bed , lovely wool carpet, shower to die for nice long bath. All the staff were friendly, professional, helpful. excellent food at sensible prices and individually cooked and served breakfasts with lots of options. 'So impressed I told manager and praised the cleaners personally.

We arrived mid afternoon on a drizzly day and looked forward to taking time out. Check in was Friendly, quick and efficient. There was a nice warm log stove in the main area, the bar area was inviting and clean. We had a couple of drinks while looking at the miserable weather outside. It was a lovely afternoon break, and we then ended up staying and ordering an evening meal. Ordering via the app along with a discount code was quick and easy, and within fifteen minutes our meals arrived with a smile, the meals were well presented, and very tasty. The breakfast next morning before checking out, was also very tasty with a smile again, and choice of toast types and tea/coffee whichever we wanted. Check out was just as quick and easy, we shall be staying again as it was a most enjoyable one night stop, with easy access to tourist attractions in the area. The room was comfortable, and spacious. The staff were all helpful, cheerful and efficient.

The rooms are very comfortable with nice bedding. Lots of parking around. The staff are always pleasant. My second time here, and the WiFi isn’t usable as the walls are so thick and signal simply doesn’t stretch far enough.

Property is a little tired and the bathroom had a lot of damp patches and mould. However the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. I would stay again, but only as a stop over.

I was dissapointed with the room. The windowsill was sticky, the shower head did not hold its position, there was some black mould near the bath, The sink and bath drained very slowly. I was suprised there was only two tea bags, no hot chocolate or bottled water - these cost pence not pounds. With all the above in mind, the room was on par with a Travelodge which I could have booked at a considerably lower cost. The bar area is a nice venue.
