I have visited a number of Baymont Inn locations in other states. However, this location failed to meet my expectations. First, this property requires a $100 deposit upon check-in (which is a bit insane, given the quality of the rooms on the property). Second, I was assigned a room with keycards that were activated but did not work. Third, I was then given a new room number and a different set of keycards. The room assigned did not correspond with the type I paid for.
Our nightly stay was not very comfortable. In comparison, the room bed felt like a jail stay, with hard mattresses that lead to back pain. After the first night, we decided to travel to the lobby for breakfast. Let's just say the breakfast was not as inviting in its presentation and did not entice us to fix a plate and enjoy the food. For example, the milk pitcher contained a film around the contours of it. My waffle was dry, and not a hint of butter would improve the taste. The bagels looked old and stale. The eggs were not delicious and the breakfast sausage was clearly boiled.
The customer service at this hotel would benefit from a more professional training. When I requested additional towels for our room, the attendant sitting down with her back facing the front desk who seemed irritated as I prompted her with a polite "excuse me" was reluctant to honor my request. Note: I would encourage everyone to bring an iron if you need it as the staff will prolong giving one to you.
