Room was old and outdated. Not very clean. Bathroom light fixture did not work, only one towel was provided. Bed was ok, but blanket and sheets were very worn. Room was small and needs to be painted and updated. This stay was last minute, but would not stay here again.

Pros: Great location. Friendly person at front desk when called in the morning before checking in later that night. Cons: Needed to pay for night upfront before getting key to room. The room itself was frightening: No blanket on bed (just pillows and sheets), grimy, smelled like cigarette smoke. Tried the tv and half the channels did not come through (message displayed was “No signal”). Concerned about possibly seeing insects or small animals emerging through cracks. Disclaimer: Self-proclaimed germophobe and fearful of rodents indoors. Decided to not spend night. It seemed to be a motel for people who lived locally more than visitors, but I could be wrong. That might be the problem. Left motel that night without even unpacking. So lost the cost of the nights stay. And since I’d made a different reservation for the following night, but cancelled that reservation after 7pm, I lost that money as well. So lost a lot of money (2 night’s stay). Just could not bear to stay there. The motel could attract more people if it renovated the rooms and treated the guests with more respect (not like criminals). It’s in a great location in a popular location (many stores, restaurants), so has potential.
