AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
Simply the most horrendous hotel that I had the misfortune of booking. You’re better off at the JW MARRIOTT across the road!
In summary, I stayed between 01/01/2026 - 05/01/2026. The issues that I encountered included:
1. The plug switches in the room did not work
2. The privacy blinds in the bathroom did not work
3. I would not be having breakfast for the remainder of the stay along with my two guests
4. One of my guests, my mother, was bed bound having had food poisoning from the breakfast on 03/01/2026
5. The hotel is rife with women engaging in illicit activities which makes the hotel unsafe on an evening especially
6. My room had not been serviced by housekeeping since my arrival and despite requesting this on three occasions
7. The air conditioning unit in the room was malfunctioning and would turn off automatically making the room uncomfortably hot
Hotels.com were unable to do ANYTHING and referred me to the hotel. I was moved to a different room where the only improvement was in relation to the plug switches and air conditioning working.
Despite not having breakfast at the hotel from 03/01/2026, both Hotels.com and the hotel refused to refund this aspect of the booking at the very least. I incurred additional expense in booking transport and having breakfast at other venues. The hotel’s only offer of any compensation was to have either “lunch or dinner” at the hotel which I obviously declined.
Don’t ruin your holiday by staying here!
