One of the best and most relaxing vacations we have had as a family. Stayed for 9 days with adult children and made Dubrovnik Palace Hotel the base of our operations, easily accessing the Old Town and the port and going on multiple trips. Hotel is just excellent with great breakfast, outstanding and very welcoming staff, beautiful views from every room, inviting lobby. Our favorite though was the beach; even though it is a rocky beach typical for Croatia it felt like just an amazing place to relax and unwind. As soon as we left Dubrovnik all of us wanted to come back.

We booked 3 rooms in December for this hotel, looking at pool amenities available. When we got to the hotel we were told that they had given our rooms away, we checked in at 4pm, and there was nothing they could do but put us in a different hotel. We were told it was an upgrade and despite looking it up and telling them that it absolute wasn’t they would not honor our booking. Having no choice we went to the other hotel, the pool area had zero amenities, was full of dirty towels. We had to get our own loungers, umbrellas, and it took over an hour to get any drinks as there was very limited service. We were offered dinner in the hotel but we didn’t travel to Dubrovnik to eat in the hotel. All together a serious lack of respect from the Dubrovnik Palace. This was not the experience we expected or paid for. They should be ashamed of their behavior but they seriously just didn’t care.

The property is well kept . Its location is pretty close to the ocean promenade with many dining options . In addition the bus to the old city stopes in front of the hotel and only takes like about 20 minutes to pila gate and runs from early in the morning to late at night for 2.5 euro per person

The hotel is at the top end of the bay with lovely views out over the sea and along the coast. It’s around 15 minutes from the Lapad town centre where there are a nice selection of restaurants and bars (caution - it’s at the top of a moderate hill so not for those that struggle with walking). Old town Dubrovnik is a 15 minute (cheap - around €9 each way) taxi ride and very much worth a visit. Don’t be fooled by the star rating - there’s nothing 5 star about it. It’s perfectly pleasant but missing the nicer touches you would expect from a higher tier property.

Location was perfect overlooking the Adriatic beautiful sunset. Bus stop right outside of the hotel was perfect for visiting the old town. Short walk in the local area and ate fabulous food! Area is a bit expensive but had a fabulous time. Hotel was spotless and staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend if you're staying in Dubrovnik anytime

My wife and I stayed at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel for our anniversary — our third time visiting Croatia and our second time returning to this hotel, eight years after our first stay. From check-in to checkout, everything exceeded our expectations. The entire team — from the front desk and housekeeping to the restaurant staff — were exceptional. We’ve stayed in many five-star hotels, but this one stands out. There’s a genuine warmth and down-to-earth humour here that you rarely find elsewhere, and it made all the difference. A special thank you to the General Manager, Hrvoje, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Your kindness and attention to detail truly elevated our trip — we’re so grateful. Croatia remains one of our favourite places to visit, and the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel has firmly become our place to stay. Thank you again for making our anniversary so special — we’ll be back.
