It's hard for me to judge this property because everything was as on paper. I paid extra for a view of Edinburgh Castle... But I barely got to make use of this view because of the too layout. Window from the bathroom was visible from adjoining buildings and from the street so this window always had to be closed. Same with the view from the bedroom. I needed to be standing at it to get the view. Not very worthwhile in my opinion. The room was clean, again the choices for the layout were a bit questionable - fresh towels were on the bed rather than on the towel rack. As I was out all day I barely got a chance to use it and it would have been nice to have warm towels. Nescafé was refreshed and bed made every day which was nice. Location was amazing, steps from the walk up to the castle and access to the royal mile. Public transport is a bit of a walk.

Well located with friendly staff. Only issue was with the rooms temperature. It was at a constant 25 C with no way to control the temperature to cool it down only the window. We asked for and received a fan to use throughout.

No city views for City Twin sized rooms

The room was clean and comfortable. My b o ly complaint is that the city twin rooms do NOT have any view of the city and is misleading. What you do get is a view of the rear of buildings and parking lot which produces a lot of noise until midnight or so. There’s a huge generator noise that rubs most of the night. Light sleepers beware.
