The part about the Ohia Waikiki I liked the most was the location, everything is close by. Waikiki Beach is two blocks away and shopping and food is within the block. Now as far as the hotel goes. I have stayed here before and enjoyed my stay then. But this time around unfortunately that was not the case. First and foremost, fix the air conditioning. This is important so you guests can get a good night rest, and no the small fan that was given to us did not cut it , the room felt like it was 90 degrees. Also, this hotel needs some upgrades, I don’t care about some of the blemishes that come with an older hotel but I do care about the bed I sleep in , so start with the mattress so your guest’s can get a better night sleep than I did.

Bad: Hotel is very old. No air conditioning. Door entering room was not safe. The screws was missing from the door lock. Pictures shown on internet is not what it looks like very deceiving. No screen door on sliding door. Carpets very dirty. Bathroom: Sink/counter interferes with toilet space. Bed: Uncomfortable No Comforters No parking. Only valet parking available. Online said parking was available. Good: But the staff: Front desk very friendly. The location was close to restaurants and shoppering.

The staff were excellent! The property itself is pretty run down. Definitely needs updating. We stayed 3 nights. The first 2 nights no problems. The last night we saw several bugs in our room on the 9 th floor!!! Maybe the exterminator needs to spray more often. Great location 2 blocks to beach and shopping is right outside door.

Family day

The staff was really nice, but the reason for my rating was because of the condition of our room. It looked like mold was growing on top of the ceilings and as we entered it smelt like dead fish and our towels had stains on them. Also we did get bit up I believe there is fleas in the rooms. I went down to the front desk to see if we could change rooms , but unfortunately there wasn’t anything available . Valet staff was also very nice.

Location was great but hotel is not maintained well. Ac stopped working and unfortunately I’m still stuck here until my condo apartment is ready in a couple of days. That will make two weeks here and so far the ac has been off for 4 days now with no end in sight. The front desk only say they have someone working on it. For 4 days??? Off course they’re not going to do any refunds or compensation for our discomfort.
