Comfortable, good breakfast

The hotel was ok. For a non smoking hotel, my room definitely smelled like smoke, which was disappointing. Overall, comfort was fine and the breakfast selections were great.

Was not the best stay

We arrived around 7pm & it was dark out. Checked into our room where it was completely dark when we entered. We couldn't find the lights to turn on to see when we entered. That gave us a feel of "we weren't expecting your arrival" when we booked the room almost 2 weeks out. Amenities included a hair dryer. We could not find one so we called the front desk. They said it was attached to the wall. We could not locate one & asked for one to be sent to our room. They didn't have any & said it was in the room. Called down a 3rd time & they gave us a room key to access a hair dryer across the hall. How inconvenient. Did I mention the room was a handicap room that needs to be remodeled? I challenge your employees to read "Fred Factor" as it's much needed in this hotel. In addition, the rain had turned into a blizzard Sunday morning. Guests cars were covered with ice & snow. Most of the guests were families of bowlers who were attending the High School State Finals. The employee of the hotel was parked under the entrance so it was harder for the guests to warm up their vehicles & move in under it to be loaded at the front to leave. I certainly thought that was just rude.

Very easy to get to from Interstate. Property and room was clean. Looked like some refurbishing has been done - however the bathroom was not well. Gaps in the sheet rock/wall at the baseboards. In a bathroom that's not ideal. Paint job on walls was not finished around the bathroom door. Location is right next to highway so there is major traffic noise - I was exhausted from a 10 hour drive so I didn't care so much this time. Staff was friendly and check in was quick and easy. Buffet breakfast is also available.

Suite was spacious and I liked that it had 2 full baths, but both toilets were slow/no flush. Bathtub needs re-glazing. Mattress wasn’t very comfortable, and TV’s were small. The furniture needs cleaning. The breakfast was good and service area was clean. Lobby was clean and looks newer, but some rooms need refreshing.

Descent pricing, and the staff allowed early check in that helped my trip. Things that i didnt like in the room was there was a lamp not working that had no light bulb, no coffee maker, the couch was old and not comfortable, the staff charged me the rate, a deposit, and than charged me a extra 110 dollars for a unknown reason. Now they advised it would take 4-5 business days to recover my money for the hotels mistake.
