Awesome location right in the heart of everything! Surrounded by great restaurants and just a few minutes walk to Arasta Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. What we loved most was the freshly made gözleme every morning, gave us a real taste of authentic Turkish breakfast!

The hotel location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from major sites (blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc.). The service is excellent. They will go above and beyond to satisfy your needs. From making arrangements for a taxi, reservations, etc. The facilities are good and clean, not new or luxurious, but good. Excellent value for what I paid.

As a family of 4 with two older children - the room was a great size (we booked a family room which comprised of two connecting rooms, each with their own bathroom, with it's own entrance, so you could close off an external door and have both room doors open. The rooms were very clean and had lots of windows, the only niggle we had was that our room was overlooking reception, so we could hear any noise coming from people coming and going etc, but this was not a huge issue. The hotel is in a great location, 5-10 mins walk to Sultanahmet square, with lots of good restaurants and shops on your doorstep - which for us was great as we only had 1.5 days in Istanbul and wanted to see the cultural and historical side, so we walked everywhere. The breakfast was great, with a lovely lady making fresh Gözleme. There was also a rooftop terrace which had great city and sea views. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault anything and would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Istanbul.

This hotel is something special! From the moment I arrived, the staff were so welcoming and friendly! The breakfast was incredible and the homemade gozleme was amazing! Very walkable to the Sultanhamet area. I would say it's on the outer edge and not in the middle so perhaps it would have been more quiet except there was street construction so it was not (not their fault). The front desk staff was very helpful to all of our questions and getting us taxis or explaining the tram. Breakfast was included and very good. The hotel does not have a restaurant for dinner. There is a small rooftop bar but it was unattended because of the weather. It was not warm enough this time of year. Anyway, there are many rooftop bars in the area. I would have liked an iron in the room and a make-up mirror.

Hotel Amira Istanbul is a small, welcoming hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel at home. Check-in was quick, and they were always ready with helpful tips about the city. My room was clean and comfortable, with simple decor that still felt warm and inviting. The bed was soft, and I appreciated small touches like a selection of Turkish teas and daily turndown service. Housekeeping kept everything neat without ever disturbing my schedule. The rooftop terrace is a real highlight. It offers a clear view of Istanbul’s famous skyline, with domes and minarets all around. It was the perfect spot to relax in the morning sun or watch the city lights at night. Each day began with a delicious Turkish-style breakfast. The spread included menemen (scrambled eggs with tomato and pepper), fresh simit (sesame bread rings), local cheeses, olives, honeycomb, and seasonal fruit. The staff served everything quickly and were happy to explain each dish. Overall, Hotel Amira delivers exactly what you need: a clean, comfortable room; attentive, friendly service; and a great location near major sights. If you want a simple, stress-free stay in Istanbul with a taste of local flavors, this hotel is a solid choice.
