There is zero accessibility here. No elevator and stairs everywhere. As a solo traveler alone with suitcases, it was annoying. The shower had almost no water pressure and what would normally be a 10 minute deal was 20+ minutes just to get enough water to wash off the soap. Never mind if I washed and conditioned my hair! The room was clean though so that was something. The description also says it’s 4 minutes from the pier and UCLA and that is a fabrication. It’s a minimum 15 minute drive IF there’s no traffic. It took me 30 minutes one way to UCLA and I never made it to the beach. You have to leave your building and walk down the street to get to the front office. Another inconvenience. For the price, I was very disappointed and will not be staying here again.

Horrible experience. Arrived from a 6 am flight and they put me in a room where they were laying carpet upstairs. Employee in the front was rude from the moment we walked in. Tub didn’t work. Breakfast was basic.

Good room, as advertised. However photos are very misleading, giving the impression of a courtyard, and we apparently had not booked to have a courtyard room. There is no way one would have pictured the building we were in from the posting. Staff v unhelpful on this point, and seemed to acknowledge this was the case but blamed Expedia for the misrepresentation.

Best Western Santa Monica, Pico Blvd.

Fairly basic, average hotel around 2.5 miles out from the Santa Monica sea front. Breakfast was provided, which was limited but adequate to start the day. Room was small with minimal storage space but ok for a couple of days stay. Hotel was kept clean & tidy. There was free parking at the hotel. There was a good regular bus service on the number 7 to downtown from outside the hotel.
