"Maksoimme yhdestä yöstä poikkeuksellisen korkean hinnan ja valitsimme paremman huoneen, jota markkinoitiin kuvissa terassilla olevalla verkolla. Tämä verkko oli ratkaiseva tekijä huonevalinnassamme, mutta paikan päällä sitä ei ollut lainkaan. Kyseessä oli selkeästi virheellinen tai harhaanjohtava markkinointi. Jo sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä kävi ilmi, ettei huoneen ilmastointi toiminut. Kuumuus oli sietämätöntä. Vaihdoimme huonetta, mutta myöskään toisessa huoneessa ilmastointi ei toiminut, ja hotellilta kesti kohtuuttoman kauan saada asia korjattua. Ilmastointiongelmien vuoksi käytännössä koko päivämme Khao Sokissa meni hukkaan, eikä majoitus vastannut missään vaiheessa maksettua tasoa. Hotellin sijainti on epäkäytännöllinen, ja hotellin tarjoama kuljetus on huomattavan kallis (300 bahtia per suunta), vaikka matka olisi vain noin 2 km. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä, mutta ystävällisyys ei korvaa toimimatonta ilmastointia, harhaanjohtavaa huonekuvausta tai menetettyä lomapäivää.
