Do not go if you are looking for a clean place

The property is in a bad shape. Needs upgrad. Rooms are not clean with molds in the bathroom. Sink was clogged. The cleaners don’t even clean drawers. There was a very old can of beef soup! Disgusting bathroom. We didn’t take shower due to mould!

It was my first time staying here. The rooms were huge. Fridge and microwave were convenient. The inside wasn't clean. There was hair on the shower walls and the floors needed to be swept and washed. Parking was tight.

Location - fantastic, whether you are on a ski trip or interested in Mammoth Lakes' Village. The shuttles stop 30yards from the hotel. The person at the reception was nice enough. The room was warm, and the fridge & microwave both worked. Nights were mostly quiet (no parties near our room, or kids running outside our door with ski boots). That about sums up the positive aspects of our stay. The mattress and pillows - super uncomfortable and inadequate. The mattress was squeaky and knotty/uneven; the pillows (3 total on a queen size bed) came in two flavors: (a) hard as a rock and extra thin, or (b) small,fluffy & collapsing to nothingness with the slightest weight on it. The bathroom - falling apart, with rust everywhere and the tub literally cut-up with surface chunks missing. We stayed at the same place 5-6 years ago and I don't see evidence of a single dime invested in it since. Not even for basic maintenance, apparently: three days after the recent snow storm the driveway up to the hotel was not cleaned, making it impossible for cars even with chains to enter directly from the Main St. Of course the parking lot too was covered with ice & melting snow. The room "cleanliness": there was a used towel with a yucky stain hanging on the BR door when we first walked in! The comforter and the sheet were terribly stained to the point where we had to throw an old blanket I had in my car over the bed for it to look acceptable. There were human hairs under the bed covers :-P, etc.

This is my 2nd time staying here. The bathrooms are dirty. The first time I stayed here, there were loose hairs in the bathroom; not 1 or 2 but multiple. I let it go because it didn't bother me much. On my 2nd stay, the loose hairs in the bathroom was worse; there was a whole lot more. It bothered me so much that I took one of the towels and used it to 'mop' the hairs. And speaking of the towels, on my 2nd stay, the towels also had loose hair on top of stains. The location is convenient as you're able to walk to all the restaurants and bars. Parking is a bit on the tight side. I don't think I'm coming back.

Not sure why this place has the good reviews it does, maybe I just got the worst room on the property. Motel itself is old and falling apart. The automatic front door to the office didn't even work even, and you had to manually push it open. Dog feces in the parking lot. As for the room, it was absolutely filthy and tore up. Floor was disgusting with hair and food bits. Walls had stains and what looked like bits of food stuck to it. Bathroom was obviously not cleaned from the last user, and was very beat up. Some of the towels had curly hairs buried in them. Just an overall gross experience. Oh, and get cable, for an area that gets a lot of storms its kinda silly to rely on a satellite service for your TV.

The staff were very polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable. It was sufficient with what we needed and will be back again in the future. Adrian was awesome and super helpful with clearing out the snow for a parking spot for us upon arrival and helped us out with checking in and checking out of the room.
