We stayed here for $150 a night, but the value just wasn’t there. The room was dated and had several maintenance issues—our shower drained very slowly, water pressure was low, and the in-wall AC unit was dirty. The bathroom corners and edges needed a thorough cleaning.
On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the outside of the property was well maintained. We appreciated the pet-friendly policy and the included continental breakfast, though the breakfast was very basic.
Overall, the hotel felt more like a budget option that should be priced under $100/night. Unfortunately, we booked just a couple of weeks before our trip and options in Marquette were limited—this was the cheapest available at the time. It’s possible the price was higher due to late booking, but for the cost, we expected better room quality and cleanliness. In hindsight, we wonder if the only other similarly priced hotel might have been a better choice.
