I was so happy with my stay. Location was brilliant. Self check in was very easy & quick. Had a lovely room facing Collins Street. Only complaint, the bed could have done with a topper as the bed was firm. Will definitely stay again.

Great location for a stay in Melbourne, close to public transit, dining options and attractions.We stayed here twice,once before our great ocean walk and then again at the end, our great Ocean walk,before leaving Melbourne for the great barrier reef.

Bed was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on and noise was very loud outside. Communication that the pool wasn’t able to be used would’ve been great as my daughter wanted the pool and that was big reason we booked was for a pool

The property was perfectly situated for us :access to public transport , variety of food venues and views of the city. The bathroom was perhaps the weakest link - it was it was cleverly designed although minimal. Conversely the the room size was excellent. The kitchen area was well equipped. Instructions to guests were clear and helpful. Staff were helpful - and 24 hour reception.

It was my worst stay i have ever had in Melbourne. Oaks ruined our trip which was dreadful. They gave the room i booked to someone else and gave us a disgusting room. I booked a room with 1 bed in it instead we got a room that they jammed 2 beds in making it too restricted. The bathroom was no bigger than a cupboard. Shower was unsafe drain rocked back and forth under your feet which made it very unsafe. The water pressure was so low it was disgraceful. There was a sign in bathroom that said to hang towels on towel rack there was no rail you could see signs of where it had originally been fitted to the wall just above small basin. Also the water in the toilet ran fully for the full time we were there and was so loud. Went to put our valuables in the safe and it didnt work. Then we went to look at the pool for a swim and it was empty and closed. We were so upset when we told the front desk about it that he showed no sign of giving a damn. We asked to cancel another night we were going to stay on the 30th before flying home on 31st Once we checked out and my partner went to collect car from secure parking and we were half way to our trip to Albury we realised we were charged an additional $180 for parking when i had already been charged for parking when we checked in. We want the $180 refunded and a partial refund for our stay which is only fair i believe. I would never recommend the Oaks to anyone or stay there ever again. I am also waiting for my full refund for the 30th
